GOD HELP US : OBAMA 45%, ROMNEY 45% IN LATEST POLLS

The real telling (and depressing) fact about the current election cycle is not that the true conservatives, the ones who understand America is on the verge of bankruptcy, have been left behind in favor of career politicians who change their stance depending on what they think people want to hear. No, the real indicator of just how close we are to ruin is when the pollsters ask "Obama or Romney, Obama or Gingrich, Obama or ?" Obama is still consistently garnering 45 to 46% of the votes. The closest anyone has come to beating Obama is Romney at 45/45%.

That means that almost half the voters in this country have been..... A: So brainwashed by our liberal educational system that they are incapable of rational thought. B: Already dependant on the government for their upkeep so that they'll vote for anyone who they think will maintain the status quo, i.e. their welfare, housing, medical care, free cell phones, etc. ad nauseum. C. So unaware and ill informed about anything other than the campaign ads they see while watching American Idol, Survivor, or some other moronic TV program that they'll vote for whoever's ad they saw last before they leave to vote.

Do these people think our current situation can continue forever? The government spending two to three times as much as it takes in every year? The truth is most of them don't have a clue about much of anything. And don't care. Unlike Congress, whose members certainly do know the real score, and still don't care if it's going to cost them reelection. I can't even think of words nasty enough to describe our current politicians, both Congress and the President and his "czars".

I ask you : What is the difference between high treason (let's say selling military secrets to foreign enemies) and what our politicians and bureaucrats have been doing for the last 20 years or so???? I swear they have already sold their very souls for wealth and power. We need to get 90% of them out of D.C. Mark my words, four more years of what we've had for the last 3 and America will NEVER recover. They will drive us into forfeiting on our debt. If you think times are tough now, just wait till that happens. Please remember the Congressional races are every bit as important as who the next President will be

OBAMA 'S JOB CZAR IMMELT MOVES MORE JOBS TO CHINA

Sitting down? Here's more of Obummer's plan to fix our economy. The man he chose to lead his program to "fix" our economy, General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt, (see "JEFFREY IMMELT : OBAMA'S JOBS CZAR" post on 10/22/11) has announced GE will be closing it's Xray division plant in Waukesha, Wi. and moving it to Beijing. In addition to moving the plant and the division headquarters, GE will invest $2 Billion in China, train more than 65 engineers, and create 6 research centers. This is on the heels of the news of GE's 2000 job plant expansion in Brazil.

Yes sir, Mr. Obama, you're "fixing" our economy all right. Let's see, gas $1.79 / gallon when you took office. (Remember, he said "we need to get the price of gas up to the level of Europe so people drive less, therefore creating less air pollution") Government debt doubled in 3 years. True unemployment rate around 15 to 17 %. True inflation rate near 10%. Billions in thinly disguised payoffs for your campaign contributors. Yes sir, four more years of your policies will "fix" us for sure. But that's your plan, isn't it? Destroy America, because you hate it.

I would like to remind you all that Congress is just as responsible for the mess we are in as the President. Therefore, the congressional races are just as important as who the next President is.

HERE WE GO AGAIN, NOTHING CHANGES

The race for the Republican nomination is becoming depressing. Romney takes Iowa and New Hampshire. Proving once again that the average voter today is unaware of anything about the candidates other than what they've seen on the TV advertisements. Proving again that he who garners the most campaign contributions, and therefore can afford the most ads, wins.

Illustrating once more the MAJOR problem with our political system as practiced today. You don't think those huge contributors - personal and corporate - don't expect anything in return for their millions, do you? It's why our tax code is so full of special loopholes, for one thing. Obama has made an art out of rewarding his backers with government (YOUR) money.

I am going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. If Romney is elected President, don't expect any fundamental change in this situation. In fact, unless Tea Party candidates win the House and Senate by a landslide, I predict we won't see much of a change at all. Oh, they'll make piddling cuts here and there, but definitely not the major spending cuts and policy changes it will take to save our country.

CHICAGO POLITICS IN WASHINGTON

Chicago politics, generally recognized as the most corrupt in the nation, are now standard operating procedure in D.C. The man who now occupies our White House is by far the most corrupt politician I can remember in my lifetime. Probably the most corrupt president in our entire history. His history of rewarding campaign contributors with shady deals is only now being discovered, one piece at a time. Solyndra was only the tip of the iceberg, and that one cost us taxpayers over 1/2 billion dollars.

Our current economic malaise was precipitated by several major factors. 1. The federal government, in the person of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, forcing lenders to meet minority lending targets, thereby forcing them to grant mortgages to millions of people who had no chance of making their payments. 2. The greed of shady bankers and stock brokerages "bundling" these "toxic" mortgages and selling them to unsuspecting investors. These were not back street brokerage houses, they were some of the largest, formerly respected, financial institutions in America. George Bush tried several times to shut down the power of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but was thwarted every time by the Democrats, who controlled both the House and Senate at that time.

Here's how Obama rewards the crooks who bear a large part of the responsibility for this mess:

Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting
activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation
for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

Raines works for the Obama Campaign as his Chief Economic Advisor.

TIM HOWARD?
Howard is a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama under Franklin Raines.

JIM JOHNSON? Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee.

TRUE COST OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION : 338 BILLION PER YEAR!

Something else to thank the scumballs in D.C. for. There is only one reason they have allowed this to go on and on for years and years. They want the Hispanic vote. Once again they prove they care nothing for our nation, only their personal greed and power. Look at this list and ask yourself why in God's name would we be doing all this for people who aren't even supposed to be here, who broke our laws to get here? Who drive down YOUR paycheck. Oh yes, it's not just laborers and pickers any more. Check out the software companies for one.

$22 Billion per year for food stamps, WIC (Women in Crisis), and free school lunches.
$2.5 Billion for Medicaid for illegal aliens.
$12 Billion for primary and secondary school education.
$17 Billion for education of American born children of illegals.
$3 Billion per DAY for incarceration of illegals. 30% of ALL federal inmates are illegal aliens.
$90 Billion for welfare and social services.
$200 Billion in suppressed wages for Americans, because they work for next to nothing.
In 2006, the last year figures are available for, illegal aliens sent $45 billion back to their home countries.

The total estimated cost of illegals in this country is $338.3 billion per year! Beware of any Republican presidential candidate who is not in favor of fixing this huge drain on our treasury!

HOW BAD IS THE ECONOMY AND WILL AMERICA SURVIVE?

Just how bad is the economy? Forget what the lying sh**s in our government are putting out to the media. Here are some actual figures compiled by our local paper, the Starke Journal. This past year, 10 local businesses have gone under and closed, making a total of 26 local businesses gone over the last 3 years. The local KOA campground, which 3 and 4 years ago was full all winter, is only at 57% occupancy. Traffic counts on US 301, the main route from anywhere on the U.S. east coast to Florida's Gulf coast, are down 27 to 64 % from '05/06 levels. Remember trickle down economic theory? Well here it is in it's current government induced state : every business that closes hurts the suppliers that business bought from. That supplier has to make staffing cuts to stay afloat. The companies / manufacturers that supplier bought from have to make cuts. More and more unemployed. Remember, Starke is just one small town, this is multiplied thousands of times around the country.

Why do I say this is government induced? What precipitated the housing and banking crisis that started this whole chain of events? It's all politics. Government rules and regulations forcing banks to make loans to people who couldn't ever afford to repay them. (Why? All in the name of diversity)Government "watchdog" agencies that were supposed to police the financial industry in cahoots with the very entities they were supposed to police, actually facilitating the robbery of America. So many government regulations you can't put a swing set up in your back yard without a stinking permit, let alone build something new for a business.

How much longer do you think we will continue to exist as a nation of free men? Considering all the government (federal, state, and local) laws and regulations we have today, are we still really a free nation now? Or has the decades long, gradual, piece by piece, infringement of personal liberty already destroyed that concept?

Why, what personal liberties have we lost, you say? I don't see any difference in my life.

OK, let's start with an easy one : the right to be stupid. Drive without a seatbelt and your government, in the person of a police officer, will issue you a fine if you get caught. Ditto ride a motorcycle without a helmet in some states. Oh well, that's for the common good - the taxpayer has to pay for the medical care of those idiots, so we have the right to take away their right to be stupid. Whoops, who said the taxpayer has to pay for their injuries? I'm sorry bleeding heart do-gooders, that's not my problem. Neither is it my problem to feed, clothe, house and otherwise support the 15 kids you've had while milking the welfare system.

How about the right of free speech? Duh, heard about hate crime laws? That's right, call an African American the n word (unless, of course, you're a black rapper) call a male homosexual the f word, and you could be charged with a hate crime.

How about the right to keep and bear arms? Oh, they are working SO hard behind the scenes to get rid of that one!

Wait one second before you start calling me names. If you're my neighbor, my friend, in my church or community, AND SOMEONE WHO HAS STRUGGLED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY, but fallen on hard times, I will probably help you out of a jam if I can. But, it is NOT THE BUSINESS OF GOVERNMENT TO FORCE ME TO DO SO.

You CAN do something about this. You DO have a say in whether America stays free or ends up bankrupt like the European socialist countries are. Folks, I know some of you are way more liberal than I am. Some of you who are extremely intelligent think the Obama Plan is the way to go. I ask you to look at just one bit of evidence : socialism/communism DOES NOT WORK. It has not worked anywhere in the world it has been tried. Oh yeah, it will work for a while - until you have more takers than givers. Look at the problems of every single European country. Greece and Spain both would be bankrupt today without international bailouts. The rest of them are not in much better shape. Look at OUR national debt, we are only a very few years away from defaulting. NO ENTITY, BE IT A FAMILY OR A GOVERNMENT, CAN CONTINUE TO SPEND MORE THAN IT TAKES IN FOREVER.

Your vote does count, remember Florida and the hanging chads? YOUR vote could be the vote that swings an election. Your OPINION does count. Since 95% of our current crop of politicians only care about reelection, believe me,even though you may only get a form letter reply, they tally the letters on issues. Do you support our troops? Are you a veteran? Have you put your very life on the line for your country? A true patriot who loves your country and what it has stood for in the past? Remember, many, many thousands have DIED to protect YOUR freedom. Surely you can take a few minutes out of your life to let your voice be heard in our government. The Internet has made it so easy and quick to do that. Click on the link above "contact your Senator or Representative". Let them know what you think. And please, please, know the candidates and their positions before you pull the voting lever.

WHICH PROSTITUTE WILL YOU VOTE FOR????

The GOP primaries are rapidly approaching. And unfortunately, it's beginning to look a lot like previous races, i.e. your choice will be between the lesser of two evils.

The two current front runners, Romney and Gingrich, are just different sides of the same coin. Career politicians who have flip-flopped on so many issues over the years we really have NO idea of what they will actually do if elected. In other words, they are not only liars, but prostitutes. They will say anything they think will get them votes. Neither one is a true conservative. Both have favored harsh gun control laws, of course trying to hide that now. Romney pushed hard for Massachusetts version of Obamacare, and now says he favors repealing Obamacare. Gingrich took millions of dollars from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to lobby for them so the big bankers can continue their legal robbery of America. He says this was "consulting fees".

Rick Perry is also a wolf in sheep's clothing. An examination of his tenure as Texas governor shows how he says one thing and does the opposite. Another typical politician.

Ron Paul is too radical to ever garner enough votes in the general election to defeat Obama's 46% of people on the government dole that will always vote for whoever promises to keep their freebies coming.

Which leaves Michelle Bachman, who I like, but has made so many ill-informed statements I wonder if she is intellectually qualified to be POTUS, and Rick Santorum. Santorum has consistently been a true conservative, and seems to have a good grasp of the issues.

Right now, my choice would have to be Santorum. Unfortunately, he is way down on the list of poll favorites.

BE AWARE OF HOW YOU ARE BEING MANIPULATED EVERY DAY

Are you totally sick of being bombarded by advertising everywhere? Tired of waiting on slow Internet pages / video to load because they've got gigabytes of ads loading at the same time? Sick of movie channels that require 3 hours to show a 2 hour movie? Ads, ads, and more ads every time you turn around. Well, being sick of it is only the tip of the iceberg. What do you mean by that you ask?

I have often wondered how our society and this country has changed so drastically in my short lifetime. Not the technological wonders we enjoy today, but peoples ideas and attitudes. For you younger readers, believe me it's like a whole different world today than just 30 or 40 years ago. A few quick examples : when I was young, nobody ever locked their doors when they left home. Nobody locked their cars. You didn't have child molesters living in half the neighborhoods in the cities. Politicians mostly tried to do what was right for the country.

Advertising is now a science called "Marketing", and it is responsible for changing our entire society in ways you would never have thought about. And it is no longer just a tool for business to increase sales. Marketing is the application of human psychology to persuade by emotion. And every liberal group / cause (and quite frankly, the right has recently jumped on the band wagon as well) has made tremendous use of that knowledge to change peoples attitudes about whatever cause it is they are espousing. And their biggest co-conspirators have been the news networks. Let me illustrate this way : Pick any controversial topic, abortion, same sex marriage, global warming, or whatever. The way I present the material, pushing the right emotional buttons, can determine how you will feel about the subject. While one instance may not change your mind immediately, when you are continually exposed to stories written using that same slant, using marketing techniques, a majority of people will gradually, UNKNOWINGLY, come to view that topic with whatever viewpoint the manipulators have taken. Especially when they start the manipulation from childhood. Folks, we've been seriously "had" by a bunch of anti - American communist sympathizing cowards since the 60's. That's right, my generation. The SDS is a perfect example. Students for a Democratic Society. Yeah right. They were about as far from espousing democracy as Stalin. In fact, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Castro, and Che Guevara were, and still are, their heroes. But let's disguise our true agenda with "Democratic" in our name. These people were college students, brighter than average. Over the years they ascended to positions of power in all types businesses, particularly journalism and politics. Bright enough to figure out how to gradually destroy this country and turn it into their vision of a socialist / communist utopia without having a shooting revolution. And they are darn near to accomplishing their goals.

How successful? Barrack Obama, or whatever his real name is, has definite, proven ties to the 60's radicals. He promised to "fundamentally change America". Are you getting it yet?

MONTANA : ONE OF THE FEW BASTIANS OF FREEDOM LEFT

Our founding fathers knew firsthand what it was like to live under a tyrannical government. And when they wrote the Constitution, they specifically designated and granted to the federal government certain powers. Mainly defense, foreign relations, the regulation of INTERSTATE commerce, (that no state could impose taxes etc. on goods from another state) and the personal liberties granted to every citizen, i.e. the Bill of Rights. And then specifically stated ALL OTHER POWERS ARE GRANTED TO THE STATES. Slowly, over the last century, our courts have gradually expanded those powers until today you can't even take a crap without falling under some FEDERAL law. Like "water saving" toilets that you have to flush 3 times to clean. Like mercury filled light bulbs that already are ending up in landfills polluting our groundwater systems. Like the almost unbelievable tangle of federal rules and regulations that are literally choking our economy. If you doubt that, just start a business and see what kind of crap you have to deal with continually, and how much it costs to comply with all the rules and regs. Then add in what it costs to protect yourself from lawsuits (another whole subject in itself). That cost has to go into the price you pay for that product, be it a material good or a service.

Fortunately, there are a few bastions of liberty left in America today. Montana, for one, with a few other states following their example, has been doing something about curtailing federal control over the states. It's not only our Federal government that is broken. Our system has become corrupt from the local township/county/city to D.C. From the commonplace bribing of local building inspectors, to our state capitals, to the current gang of Chicago thugs running Washington. Our corporations no longer operate with any sense of morals or ethics. The banks and oil companies screw over every single American to further their already incredible wealth. We are very close to the point where the majority of people today worship money above all else. When money is your God, and you fear no eternal consequences for your actions, then anything that puts money in your pocket is ok. It's ok to lie, cheat, steal, even kill if it makes you rich. If you are bigger, meaner, or smarter then it's ok to just take whatever YOU want from whomever YOU want to take it from. If we are going to fix America before we go bankrupt like Europe, like some of our cities are doing, and California and some other states are on the verge of doing, I truly believe we need to "fix" "we the people" first. Our society is sick. Homosexuality is celebrated. Adultery (which destroys the most fundamental trust between husband and wife for a few moments of "pleasure") is commonplace. The family unit is falling apart, with the divorce rate well over 50%. Witchcraft and Devil worship are not as uncommon as you might think. Our courts have outlawed any juxtaposition between government and the Ten Commandments. NOTE: As I have said before, even if you are an atheist, if you are intellectually honest you must admit religion, and it doesn't matter if it's Buddhist, Baptist, Hindu, or whatever, sets forth certain standards for human behavior. Without those standards, we are nothing more than animals with bigger, albeit selfish, brains. I don't know about you, but personally, I like to think I'm more than just an animal.

Why do the polls continue to show Obama - who has proved himself to be not only incompetent, but an outright socialist believing that every ill can be solved by more and more government regulation and taxes, winning against every possible Republican candidate with 46 to 48% of the vote? Because government has created an entire class of people, now very near half the population, dependant on government handouts for their sustenance. Like the woman in Tampa, Fl. with 15 kids screaming on the TV news that "SOMEBODY has to take care of my kids". Now there's one place where the government SHOULD step in. If you're going to collect our modern day hodgepodge of "welfare", you get your tubes tied first.

I know I've covered several different subjects here, but the bottom line is you need to get involved in your local and state elections as well as the extremely critical national elections next year. And no matter what your particular religion, we all need to be praying for our country to return to the values that made this the greatest nation in history to live in.

MORE UNBELIEVABLE GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY, OR?????

Stick with me here, I'm laying the background for more recent news.......

JFK said "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Well, here's just a few examples of what your country now does for you:

Early 70's : Screws over every KIA, MIA, POW and Vietnam vet by stopping the bombing of North Vietnam when they were on their knees ready to quit and eventually signing the Paris Peace Accords granting North Vietnam control over the South and the US its first and only defeat. VA denies Agent Orange effects for close to 20 years while vets were dying from the crap with no medical benefits.

90's : VA denies existence of Gulf War Syndrome for years before finally acknowledging that exposure to all those chemicals from burning wells and US demolition of gas and nerve agents is killing hundreds of vets and sickening thousands more.

2001 till present : Keeps sending our guys (and now gals) back on combat tours over and over again, some as many as 5 or 6 times, then tries to force them out on charges with no benefits when PTSD manifests with behavior that gets them in trouble.

And now on the home front I'll recap some more recent news :
In Feb. of '05 our wonderful so called Justice Department arrests and prosecutes 2 Border Patrol agents for wounding a smuggler they thought was aiming a gun at them. They get 10 years for doing their job. Google "Ramos and Compean" for more info. Hold on, it gets worse : Last July the Obama / Holder Justice Dept. prosecuted another Border Patrol agent for doing nothing more than what his training taught him to do. Agent Jesus Diaz Jr. caught 2 teenage smugglers with a combined 150 lbs. of pot on them. After cuffing, one suspect refused to comply with Diaz's order to lay on the ground, whereupon Diaz executed a simple maneuver taught in law enforcement everywhere, inserting his arms inside the cuffed arms of the perp, applying upward on the arms and downward on the back pressure and forcing him to the ground. Said perp claims abuse to the Mexican government when released (yep, that's right, SOP - release them back into Mexico with no consequences whatsoever).
Diaz was cleared of any wrongdoing by 2 separate investigations, but then the federal "Justice" department steps in and prosecutes him anyway. Sentenced to 2 years and a $7k fine for "violating the rights" of the smuggler. The whole story will have you shaking your head in disgust. Search again for "Jesus Diaz" and find out the inmates are truly running the asylum. What exactly is the plan here?????? There are several petitions circulating calling for the removal of Holder. I urge you to sign one.

Folks, I've got to admit that for many, many years I mentally rolled my eyeballs back when I heard "conspiracy theorists" talk. You know, the New World Order, the Masons, the Rothchild's, etc.etc. And I'm pretty sure that many who have read this blog shrug their shoulders and say "yeah, right". Well, I am now 100% convinced that there is one major conspiracy going on. Here's more proof of what I've said about Obama/Soros planning to trash the Constitution and "fundamentally change America".

2008 campaign - Obama : "we need a national police force the size of our military".
2010 "someone" unknown funds a Rand Corp. study on how best to implement a national police force.
2011 Two times Obama says it's too bad I can't just do away with Congress so we can get things done.
         Democratic N.C. governor says we need to suspend elections.
         Obama campaign starts a website for people to report websites and posts derogatory to Obama.
         FBI recording all Talk Radio and conservative news programs for "evidence" of terrorism.

Make sure you're sitting down now......The National Guard is now forcing soldiers to answer a questionnaire that asks " Will you, as a member of the National Guard, use lethal force against members of the American public if ordered to do so? "

OUTSTANDING!! I just left my neighbors house. Devon is with the National Guard for this area. He just got home from a EDRE (emergency deployment readiness exercise) at the armory. He said that during the exercise 3 companies of infantry were polled by questionare about the drill and it's purpose. One of the questions was, will you as a member of the Nat. Guard use lethal force against the American public if ordered to do so? One of the men stepped forward and refused to take the poll and explained that it was a moral judgement on his part and that he could not do so. He then placed his weapon on the ground and fell in behind the formation. Devon said it was like a waterfall, Every member layed their weapons on the deck and fell in beside the one lone specialist. This included ALL NCO's, STAFF NCO's and SENIOR NCO's. The only people left in front of the original formation was 3 Capt's. 2 Lt's and the BN Commander who was so upset he started having chest pains from yelling and screaming about court martials and disbandment of the unit into other units. Devon is a Mstr.Sgt and he went with his troops and told them that he could not be prouder of any of them. He was floating while he was telling me this. Maybe we have more than just hope on our side. I just heard from Devon. He was TX'd by his Plt LDR and advised that the Specialist Who first layed down his weapon is being held in county jail by the Bn CMDR, awaiting a hearing under the UCMJ. Devon couldn't get any more info than that. I don't want to post the mans name until we have more information. I am so upset by this that I am having chest pains. How can they do this to one soldier and not them all. I will let you know how things go. Think I might go lay down for a bit. SEMPER FI.

Merry Christmas my friends! I would like to take a minute to remind you again of the sacrifices being made daily by our troops. Especially those who have been seriously wounded. Once again our wonderful government is screwing our soldiers over. Need I remind you of Agent Orange and Gulf War Syndrome? It is currently taking an average of 1 full year to start compensation for these guys / gals after they've been discharged. Many are losing everything they own because they have NO income. This should be a national disgrace. I know times are very tough for many of us, but these soldiers put their very lives on the line for us. Please try and find at least $20 somewhere to help these soldiers out this Christmas.

Without a doubt, the Occupy Wallstreet flakes do have one very valid point. Our corporations and bankers today are just as corrupt as our politicians, selling every American, indeed the very ability of America to continue to exist as a nation, down the river to enhance their already incredible wealth. If you want to get an education on just how bad this is, do a little research on the Federal Reserve, Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geitner, and the other members of the Fed board of trustees.

As I write this, Geitner, Biden, et al are in Europe telling them they must get their spending / debt crisis fixed, and how to do it. What a joke. That's like one alcoholic telling his gutter mate he needs to quit drinking. The scum we have in Washington can't even fix our own addiction to spending, as we have so graphically seen over the last six months. Even the so called "Supercommittee" couldn't come to one single agreement on how to solve OUR financial crises, but we're telling the E.U. how to solve theirs. And believe me people, we are on the verge of a MAJOR crisis. One that will make the Great Depression look like a cakewalk, if these idiots don't forget about reelection and actually DO something.

Audit of the Federal Reserve Reveals $16 Trillion in Secret Bailoutsunelected.org
The first ever GAO(Government Accountability Office) audit of the Federal Reserve was carried out in the past few months due to the Ron Paul, Alan Grayson Amendment to the Dodd-Frank bill, which passed last year. Jim DeMint, a Republican Senator, and Bernie Sanders, an independent Senator, led the charge for a Federal Reserve audit in the Senate, but watered down the original language of the house bill(HR1207), so that a complete audit would not be carried out. Ben Bernanke(pictured to the right), Alan Greenspan, and various other bankers vehemently opposed the audit and lied to Congress about the effects an audit would have on markets. Nevertheless, the results of the first audit in the Federal Reserve’s nearly 100 year history were posted on Senator Sander’s webpage earlier this morning.
What was revealed in the audit was startling:
$16,000,000,000,000.00 had been secretly given out to US banks and corporations and foreign banks everywhere from France to Scotland . From the period between December 2007 and June 2010, the Federal Reserve had secretly bailed out many of the world’s banks, corporations, and governments. The Federal Reserve likes to refer to these secret bailouts as an all-inclusive loan program, but virtually none of the money has been returned and it was loaned out at 0% interest. Why the Federal Reserve had never been public about this or even informed the United States Congress about the $16 trillion dollar bailout is obvious - the American public would have been outraged to find out that the Federal Reserve bailed out foreign banks while Americans were struggling to find jobs.
To place $16 trillion into perspective, remember that GDP of the United States is only $14.12 trillion. The entire national debt of the United States government spanning its 200+ year history is "only" $14.5 trillion. The budget that is being debated so heavily in Congress and the Senate is "only" $3.5 trillion. Take all of the outrage and debate over the $1.5 trillion deficit into consideration, and swallow this Red pill: There was no debate about whether $16,000,000,000,000 would be given to failing banks and failing corporations around the world.
In late 2008, the TARP Bailout bill was passed and loans of $800 billion were given to failing banks and companies. That was a blatant lie considering the fact that Goldman Sachs alone received 814 billion dollars. As is turns out, the Federal Reserve donated $2.5 trillion to Citigroup, while Morgan Stanley received $2.04 trillion. The Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank, a German bank, split about a trillion and numerous other banks received hefty chunks of the $16 trillion.

When you have every single member of the Republican Party in Congress and progressive Congressmen like Dennis Kucinich sponsoring a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, you realize that the Federal Reserve is an entity onto itself, which has no oversight and no accountability.
Americans should be swelled with anger and outrage at the abysmal state of affairs when an unelected group of bankers can create money out of thin air and give it out to megabanks and supercorporations like Halloween candy. If the Federal Reserve and the bankers who control it believe that they can continue to devalue the savings of Americans and continue to destroy the US economy, they will have to face the realization that their trillion dollar printing presses will eventually plunder the world economy.

Haven't heard about Carrier IQ yet? You will, it's huge breaking news. Unless you're with Verizon, your carrier may have included Trojan horse spyware on your smartphone. Spyware that tracks EVERY keystroke and screen touch. Think about it, do you do online banking / billpaying? Ever click on an innocuous search result and end up on some porn site? Click a link in a news story about terrorism and land on some jihadi website? Do any online job applications? Carriers are denying they are doing anything with the data other than network diagnostics. Yeah, and I've got a bridge in N.Y. for sale. Even if they aren't selling your data, as they claim, who's protecting that information from hackers?

Why am I writing about this in a political blog? Here's one good reason : a California court has recently ruled that police can search smartphones without a warrant. If your local police can do it, you know the Feds can and will. See previous posts on Big Brother.

Senator John McCain must be senile.

Senator McCain (R-AZ) has co-authored S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Section 1031 of this bill will allow the U.S. military to capture and detain indefinitely an American citizen on U.S. soil who the President suspects is involved in terrorism. Thus, this bill will deny U.S. citizens basic Constitutional rights such as the right to a trial, to bail, to an attorney, to be presented with the charges against them and other rights and protections afforded to all Americans under the U.S. Constitution. That's not the worst of it. Not only does this bill strip U.S. citizens suspected of being involved in terrorism of their Constitutional rights, Section 1031 also essentially repeals the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 by authorizing the U.S. military to perform law enforcement functions on American soil.

McCain, of all people, should know the effects of totalitarian governments, but apparently he's forgotten the 5 years he spent being tortured in the Hanoi Hilton. Why in God's name would we need the military to capture a "suspected" terrorist here at home when near every police force in the country now has a paramilitary "swat" team????? And speaking of "suspected terrorists", that's YOU if you are a "disaffected" veteran or a Tea Party supporter according to Janet Napolitano and the rest of Obama's commie cronies. Make no mistake about it, they are working very hard behind the scenes to outlaw private gun ownership. Fast and Furious was not a program screwed up by incompetent BATF managers, it was a deliberate plan to give them a good excuse for their next step, outlawing all semi automatic weapons.

Senator Paul has introduced a bill to repeal section 1031. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. The internet / email has made it so simple to write to your elected officials. Please send them a note and tell them to back Senator Pauls repeal.

JUST HOW BAD IS IT?

Just how bad is the state of our nation? Chicago politics (the most corrupt in the nation) has taken over Washington. We have elected a president who has appointed, at the last count, 41 "czars", unanswerable to Congress, who have propagated "Fast and Furious", Solyndra, putting 600 Chrysler dealerships who had contributed to Republican candidates out of business while closing NO dealers who had contributed to Democrats, has near doubled the national debt, refuses to salute the flag, kicks doors like a 3 year old when he doesn't get his own way, lends $6 billion of taxpayer money to a company owned by his major backer to develop an offshore oil field off Brazil that plans to sell every single barrel of that oil to China, forces socialized medicine down our throats, and on and on and on.

OK, we can fix that in the next election right? Not so fast. THIS is how bad it is in America today:
The population as a whole has become so ill informed on issues, so polarized to left or right (those to the left because they have one particular selfish cause, i.e. gay "rights", illegal alien's "rights", pro abortion, pro political correctness, pro "green", or the government is totally supporting them now and will only vote for those who will continue to pay their bills.
Money has become God. The bankers (Freddie May and Fannie Mac have just requested another $6 billion in bailout money while proposing to give their executives $13 million in bonuses!) the CEO's, the large investors, lose not one wink of sleep over how many they put out of work, only about how much goes in their pockets. Our Congress cannot come up with a viable plan to reduce our debt because they're more interested in reelection and continuing to line their pockets with OUR money.

THIS IS HOW BAD IT REALLY IS : despite all of the above problems, polls continue to show that Obama would defeat ANY of the current Republican candidates!!! I just have a hard time believing ANYONE would vote to reelect this administration, but that IS what the polls are showing. Lord, how did we get so stupid in such a short period of time?

THIS is how bad it really is : we will drive the nail in our own coffin.

When confronted about a huge 2,000 job plant expansion in Brazil his reply was that it also created 400 jobs in America. Wow, I'm really impressed.

This is the asshole that the commie in the White House picked to "fix" our economy. Obama promised to "fundamentally change America" during his 08 campaign. He's well on the way to accomplishing that, while Congress stands idly by diddling itself. If you want to have a job next year, and the year after that, WE HAVE GOT TO GET THESE JOKERS OUT OF THERE this next election. CABELA'S DROPS MILITARY DISCOUNT

My friends, it truly makes me sad to write this, but write it I will, because it also makes me angry. Sad because I've been a Cabela's customer since before they went nationwide. Used to stop at the original store in Nebraska. Angry because another American company is selling America out to put a few more measly dollars in their pockets.

As of Labor Day, Cabela's is no longer offering a discount to current and / or retired military except "from time to time" during "special events". I guess a company that went from $49 million to $142 million profit in 1 year still isn't making enough. I say Cabela's management should be ashamed to show their faces in public.

If you or a family member is in the service, if you or a family member is a veteran, or if you just appreciate the tremendous sacrifices our service members make for our country, I am asking you to do two simple things. First, go to Cabela's website and send them an email telling them they should be ashamed of themselves, and that you will do your shopping with companies that support our troops. Second, pass this on to everyone on your email. Let's bury them with complaints from real patriots.

FYI:
Bass Pro Shops offers current and retired military 10% off 1 week every month starting on the 15th.

Sears, Harley Davidson, and a few other companies make up the difference between military pay and an employees normal pay for activated Reserve/Guard members.

Lowes offers a 10% discount for current military.

MORE ON THE NEW AMERICAN WEAPON - SUICIDE SOLDIERS

You've heard about former Marine Cpl. Dakota Meyer receiving the Medal of Honor recently, right? Well, here's the rest of the story. There was an Army Captain, William Swenson, side by side with Meyer, repeatedly exposing themselves to withering enemy fire to retrieve wounded men and the bodies of those killed. Why wasn't Swenson nominated for the MoH along with Meyer? The word is because of his blistering criticism of the current ROE (rules of engagement) during the post action debriefing. They were refused air and artillery support, resulting in the loss of three Marines, a Navy corpsman, an Army Sgt., and many wounded. Now, two years later, Marine Corps General John Allen, now senior commander in Afghanistan, has nominated Swenson for the MoH when the Army wouldn't.

Remember I said the butt kissing and power mongering amongst the brass of our military today is just as bad as the politicians in D.C.? Swenson spoke the truth, maybe angrily, but do you blame him one bit? You only get one chance at this life, and those 5 young men were literally sacrificed for political correctness.

As I said in my previous post on this subject, people in D.C. - (and believe me, I'd like to see the whole list of those who promulgated these rules, including POTUS and SecDef, have their asses shipped to an infantry unit in Afghanistan), have decided that our political goals outweigh the lives of our soldiers.

That, my friends, is quite frankly Bullshit with a capital B. You do what you want, but I have friends with sons there now, and a family member scheduled to deploy in the near future, and I am going to be screaming in my Senator's and Representative's ears. You don't put AMERICAN SOLDIERS in the crap and not give them ALL available support.

Please continue to pray for our country, and our men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for it.

SCRATCH MY BACK

Another blatant example of what's wrong with American politics recently hit the news. In Sept. of '09, Obama's appointed cronies pressured the Office of Management and Budget to approve a $535 million stimulus loan to Calif. solar energy company Solyndra, a company that two of Obama's largest campaign contributors had $69 million invested in. Now, two years later, that company is bankrupt, and again Obummer steps in and forces a restructuring of the bankruptcy settlement so his buddies will get ALL of their $69 million back before the taxpayers get a dime from the liquidation of company assets.

As I said before, the second step to fixing our problems is to totally revamp our election system. We need to TOTALLY remove the influence of private money in elections. That means complete government fixed and equal funding for each candidate. No more PACs, no more vote buying. Each candidate will run on a platform that specifically outlines their stances on current issues, their political philosophy, and their intended courses of action if elected.

Of course the first step has to be to get the current crooks out of D.C. or we'll never get anything like that accomplished. We have the opportunity do that just over 1 year from now. Fellow patriots, please continue to keep your friends and acquaintances informed, keep writing, and VOTE.

9/11 ANNIVERSARY THOUGHTS

Tomorrow is ten years since evil savages killed almost 3 thousand innocent civilians. A few thoughts about that:
1. Where is the outrage of the mainstream American press? Seems to have disappeared about 3 months afterwards. They don't even call them terrorists anymore. Now it's "extremists". But don't let us kill a civilian or two, it's plastered all over the front pages. See prior post from Feb. 2010 "New American weapons-suicide soldiers".
2. I wonder what Bin Laden thought as the world was coming down around his head in those caves at Tora Bora? Looking at America's responses to the other strikes, (Iranian hostages, Beirut, Lockerbie, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings in Africa, etc.) I'll bet he never for one minute expected anything more than a couple more Clinton cruise missiles into empty desert. Thank God George Bush was our president, and not Al Gore or especially Barrak HUSSEIN Obama.

Lord, please give your comfort to the survivors and family members of all those innocents who fell that day.

Apparently our Harvard educated president wasn't paying much attention in high school economics class.
His answer to our economic malaise? Throw more (borrowed) government money into the economy. (of course worsening the slide of the actual worth of every dollar, and hastening the demise of the dollar as the world standard currency)
Cut Social Security taxes in half. (Driving the final nail into the coffin of an already out of balance program)
Tax the daylights out of the rich. (They tried that in England-90% tax rate. The rich just packed up and left the country)
Of course, there would be short term benefits to the unemployment rate. Should last until after the next election. Which, as usual, is all the politicians care about. So what if we hasten the total collapse of America as we know it? We've still got the power.

Once again I reiterate: you must produce REAL GOODS in order to produce REAL wealth. Throughout our history, we exported far more goods than we imported. American machinery and goods were the finest in the world, and in great demand. It made us the most prosperous and powerful country in the world. That started to change as far back as 1971. That year, we imported $1.3 billion more than we exported. In 2010 imports were over $500 billion more than exports. America is on the decline. Meanwhile, China, who exports way, way more than they import, has the worlds fastest growing middle class, i.e. prosperity. Need I give more examples? The only thing that saved us temporarily was the dot com tech bubble. The problem there, which we are seeing the effects of now that the bubble has burst, is that all that created was paper wealth. Why? Because they shipped the jobs of building all those computers and electronic devices overseas.
Yes, rebuilding roads, bridges, schools etc. will produce temporary jobs. It will not do a single thing to solve our underlying problems, Mr. Obama.

I've got to tell you, for years and years I would mentally roll by eyeballs when someone would start espousing conspiracy theories. That started to change a bit when they commenced to destroying our educational system back in the late 80's, early 90's. I thought "the people running our schools are highly intelligent, highly educated PHD's. They can't be this stupid. Is some group running an agenda here? I am really wondering if Soros backed Obama's agenda isn't to bring this country to it's knees, in order to remake it into their dreamed "socialist utopia". It's a wonder people this smart can't learn from history. NOT ONE SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST COUNTRY HAS SURVIVED VERY LONG.

HOW TO DESTROY THE U.S. ECONOMY

You've heard me rant about the morons running our government agencies before, but I've just come across more incredible examples of what highly paid government employees with no REAL work to do come up with to justify their paychecks. Thanks again John for the heads up.

Let's start with one of my favorites, the EPA. Late in 2010, they declared dust from farm operations to be a pollutant, and proposed hundreds of pages of rules and regulations forcing farmers to control dust. Are you sitting down? Modifications to all farm equipment to add water tanks and spray bars. Any site of five or more acres of "disturbed" land would be required to have a trained "dust control coordinator" on site. Farmers would be required to clean all mud/dust off equipment tires before entering a public road, either by washing (requiring a water truck and pressure washer), or installing a stone or blacktop pad at the entrance/exit of every field sufficiently long enough to clear all mud from tires.

Talk about economic impact, remember me talking about a $10 loaf of bread? Let these idiots have their way and it'll be $20. Farmers barely scrape by as it is, can you imagine how much this crap would add to their costs? Whose pocket is that going to come out of? YOURS every time you go to the grocery store. If implemented nationwide, this would definitely put 95% of family farmers out of business immediately, and who would buy up those farms? The huge agribusiness conglomerates, giving them total control over prices. Can you say "Exxon Mobile"? Better stock up on Vaseline.

Now, the EPA, through the USDA, (Dept. of Agriculture) has declared storm water runoff from stored feed hay to also be a pollutant, which must be controlled with dikes and retention ponds.Which of course would require a farmer to hire an excavator to build. Stored hay?????

The next assault on your ability to feed your family came from the Dept. of Transportation. They recently proposed requiring every operator of farm machinery to obtain a CDL license. Yeah, that really makes a lot of sense, driving a tractor or combine from one field to another is a lot like driving an over the road tractor trailer on today's overcapacity highways. Cost? How about $5 grand for a trucking school?

These are just a few of the hundreds and hundreds of government regulations that are chocking the he** out of the American economy. Government overall is WAY out of control. Yes, we do need some regulation, but regulation with common sense applied.

The last chance to fix America is this next election. Don't forget to do your part, or you will have no one to blame but yourself.

OBAMA ATTEMPTS TO BUY VETS VOTES

Obama is on the campaign trail again. The man who refuses to salute our flag is suddenly a big military booster, addressing the national convention of the American Legion. Announces a 30% increase in VA funding, adds 3 medical problems to the list of Agent Orange maladies that qualify for disability, increases in funding and treatments for PTSD, etc. Sings high praises for our military and vets.

This would seem to be great news, as there is no one who deserves better treatment than our vets. But think about this: he can say and institute anything now, before the election. Then, when the spending battle resumes in Congress, and half this stuff is cut out, he can still claim the credit, but foist the blame on the Republicans. I guarantee you he's got it all the angles figured out.

RICK PERRY IS NOT THE ANSWER

The latest darling of the press for the Republican nomination is Texas Governor Rick Perry. Let me give you a few words of caution. Despite his forthright and strong avowal of evangelical Christianity, Perry is first and foremost a career politician. And like the rest of them, he plays the political game. In other words, he speaks out of both sides of his mouth. Says one thing and then does the opposite. Trades this for that. Ignores what the public demands and does what he wants.

Given his proven ties to Bush family and large campaign contributors, it is quite possible he may end up winning the nomination. If he wins the Presidency, remember what I'm telling you now. He will not be the President the Tea Partiers are looking for. He may turn out to be a good one, no doubt way better than Komrade Obama and his commie cronies, but I predict he won't be what we're really looking for. Since my first choices, Chris Christie and Alan West, are not running, I'm giving my thumbs up to Michelle Bachman. A woman with the right values, right ideas, cajones bigger than 90% of the men in this country today, and the intellectual depth and knowledge to function as President of the United States.

To make it real simple, I believe Bachman is running because she wants to save America. Perry is running because he wants to be President. 'Nuff said.

HOLD THAT SIGH OF RELIEF

Better hold that sigh of relief about the stock market going back up today. It's only temporary and it didn't regain near what it had lost. Went up on news that the Fed has promised to hold interest rates very low for the next two years. And WHAT YOU WON'T SEE REPORTED ON THE MAINSTREAM NEWS, QE3 is about to be implemented. For those of you who don't know what QE3 is, here's a very short description: This is phase 3 of the Fed printing billions and billions more money to pay the Federal debt. QE1 and 2 are one of the major reasons why you're money doesn't buy much anymore. I've been telling you for several years that the government has been finagling and outright lying about the cost of living index. Got an upclose and personal example of that these last few weeks. Electrical supplies to install an inlet for a generator and 3 outlets in a trailer came to somewhere around $350! Folks, I'm telling you 5 years ago I could have bought that stuff for $150 at the most. The more $ the Fed prints, the less each one is worth. Unless you've been getting 10% raises every year, (and who's been getting anywhere near that???) you're falling farther and farther behind.

So what if the market does go back up? It well may continue to climb for a while. Because a dollar won't be worth half what it was 10 years ago. So if a company's stock was selling at $100 per share 10 years ago, and is trading at $150 next month, that stock has no real net appreciation. The real value of that company has not grown one bit in ten years. The less the U.S. dollar is worth, the more everything costs, including stocks.

What they are doing is postponing the big disaster for a little while longer. What a surprise, huh? I surely hope this fiasco over raising the debt limit was an eye opener for Joe Average. To anyone who watched any of the debates it proved perfectly what I've been saying all along: most of them are so out of touch with reality they might as well be on Mars. They've been ensconced in their positions of power and money so long, they no longer realize what is happening in the real world. WE HAVE TO GET THESE JOKERS OUT OF THERE IN THE NEXT ELECTION or America as we know it is DONE.

Komrade Obama's plan for seizing control of America

Good morning/afternoon/evening friends. Sorry I've been way too busy to keep up on keeping ya'll informed. But this latest revelation about Obama's manipulations to make himself dictator for life is too much. Most of you probably have heard about this 08 campaign statement by by Obama. Here it is:

In a speech in Colorado Springs, Obama said, "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

You understand the ramifications of that, right? Ok, so nothing more said since then, all forgotten, right? Well now the news comes out Komrade Obama hasn't forgotten. Someone commissioned the Rand Corporation to do a study on how to implement the above. Folks, this is no joke. Can you imagine a national civilian police force the size of our entire military, and similarly armed? Can you say Gestapo? Can you doubt for one minute his real goal is to become dictator?

Stay involved in our political process or suffer the consequences.

DELTA : THE ANTI-AMERICAN AIRLINE

It's not hard to understand why Delta charged troops returning from Afghanistan $3,000 for extra baggage considering the latest news about Delta. They are entering into a "partnering" agreement with Saudi Arabian Airlines. Said agreement prohibits Delta from allowing anyone with an Israeli passport or anyone who is Jewish to board any flights to or through Saudi Arabia. Yep, you read that right. An American carrier, who has a very large contract with Uncle Sam to fly troops to and from combat zones, has not only agreed with this arrangement, they are refusing to reconsider their decision even under the threat of lawsuits.

I have never been a strong advocate of boycotts, most of which are pushed by liberal causes, and usually not very successful, but I do "vote with my pocketbook". There are companies I just don't do business with. Bank of America (can't put American flags on their property for parades or service members funerals) and Target (refuses to allow the Salvation Army to solicit at Christmas, but allows every liberal cause free access) come immediately to mind. But I do think it's time real patriots send Delta a message. Maybe we should take a page out of the liberals book and call for a boycott of Delta.
Official or not, I urge every one of you to remember this the next time you're looking for tickets.

MORON AWARDS : EPA - OSHA - FEMA - TSA?

You have to wonder which government agency has the biggest morons running it. Take the EPA for example. Every time I have to fill the tank in my EPA Wonder diesel pickup, I swear it's got to be them. Let's make a truck that should get 22 mpg get 13.5 empty and 8.5 pulling any kind of weight. Yepper, that's the solution, burn twice as much fuel to go the same distance. Which, of course, wouldn't be that big a problem if fuel was $.99 a gallon. Or how about the new mercury filled "green" fluorescent light bulbs? Out of 300 plus million people in the country today, how many are going to make a special trip to a hazmat recycling place to throw away a light bulb????? You and I both know millions and millions of them will end up polluting ground water in landfills. Why doesn't the EPA realize that???

Or how about OSHA? Aren't the spouts on all the new gas cans an absolute marvel? Or maybe I'm just to stupid to figure out how to fill something with them without spilling gas all over the place? Or hmmm, is that another EPA boondoggle? Not really sure which agency is responsible for that one.

How about the CPSA outlawing the sale of youth dirtbikes and ATV's because the batteries have lead in them? Or the idiotic TSA security procedures at our airports today? Or FEMA buying thousands and thousands of trailers for emergency housing after Katrina that sat in lots never delivered? I'm sure if a person wanted to spend several weeks doing the research, you could write an entire book with the nonsense that comes out of Washington.

One other thing that drives me nuts lately, although I'm not sure this is an EPA deal or just more greed on the manufacturers part, is that none of the small gas engine equipment you buy today has oil drain plugs. So you have 3 choices. 1. Never change the oil and just throw it away and buy a new one when it locks up. 2. Buy a hokey suction device that leaves 20% of the old dirty oil in the engine to contaminate the new oil you put in. 3. Turn it upside down and drain it on the ground.

I do have to admit there is one agency I can think of that operates well. That is the Post Office. You've got to give them credit, they do a pretty amazing job. Yeah, they've had to keep raising the price of a stamp, but look at the price of fuel.

So, what say you? We could cut a big chunk out of the deficit by getting rid of all those alphabet agencies.

SOME GOOD NEWS / SOME BAD NEWS

Good morning friends! I'd like to pass on some encouraging things I've seen this past week. Despite the overall trend of jobs moving offshore, there is still considerable manufacturing going on in this country. After looking for a decent job in Fla. for 10 months, I came up to Pa. and am driving truck again. I was very pleasantly surprised to find Caterpillar is still having radiators made in York, with copper tubes made in Altoona, Pa, out of copper actually made in the USA. A lot of packaging industry and food manufacturing and distribution around this area also. The Florida economy is so dead, it seems like boom time here in the NorthEast. And of course, Harley's are still made in York.

But that's another sad story about corporate greed. Harley threatened to shut down York operations unless the union agreed to big paycuts etc. Union agreed and then the company proceeded to lay off something like 1200 workers anyway - then offered them part-time, no benefit, big paycut jobs. Guess what? They posted record profits last year and their new slash and burn scumball CEO got a several million $ bonus. What a shame. Harley used to be the best company in the country to work for, now their just like all the rest - screw the employees and put it all in upper management's pockets.

TIME FOR A MAJOR ELECTORAL CHANGE?

Donna Brazile, Democratic campaign manager, DNC committeewoman, and advisor to many Democrats over the years, is whining in USA Today about about Republicans trying to deny people their voting rights. Says "The GOP is engaged in what appears to be a coordinated, expensive effort to block voters from the polls". "The motivation is political - a cynical effort to restrict voting by traditionally Democratic - leaning Americans."

What's she so vocal about? Bills to require photo identification at the polls. Claims 11%, or 21 million, citizens will be denied their right to vote. Hmmm, who got those people with no driver's license or any other form of photo ID registered to vote in the first place? The Democrats running their buses around the ghettos (now known as "hoods") offering people free lunches to register. First of all, let's be perfectly clear. Although there was quite a bit of discussion amongst our founding fathers as to whether only land owners would be enfranchised, as our constitution is written, those people, ASSUMING THEY ARE ACTUALLY CITIZENS, are legally eligible to vote.

Now I realize there are always exceptions to general rules. The Amish and Mennonite women come immediately to mind, but I would venture to guess that 80 to 90 % of people who do not even have a driver's license, or some other form of photo ID, would hardly be taxpayers.

My question for you today is: Is it really beneficial to have the freeloaders, those who contribute virtually nothing to our society, but suck at the government teat, vote? Remember, they are getting very close to being in the majority. Or is it time for a constitutional amendment so only those who pay taxes get to vote? Or only those not on some kind of government handout?

I am not advocating this at this time, I would have to spend a lot of time on research and trying to foresee all the ramifications. But it's something for you to think about. Please leave your comments below.

OBAMA IN FULL REELECTION MODE

I wish I could say this was amazing, but it's no surprise. It's politics as usual. All of a sudden Obummer realizes things aren't looking too good for his reelection chances and presto-bingo, we see some REAL CHANGE. First, he takes 90% of the credit for the elimination of Bin Laden, and now the same guy who 2 months ago said oil prices were "about where they need to be" is dropping the moratorium on new drilling and exploration, granting new leases, and spouting rhetoric about how prices are too high and we need new domestic sources. All of a sudden the deficit / debt problem needs to be addressed. (Oh, but we still HAVE to increase the debt limit)

Typical politician, say whatever it takes to get the votes, then do whatever the h*** he really wants once he's in office. The real shame of it is the majority of American people fall for this same crap every election cycle. You would think by now they'd be smart enough to see through the B.S.

I will say this: the hoopla created by the Tea Party etc. is the most encouraging sign I've seen in politics since Ross Perot. Perot had a few problems, yet he still came close to upsetting the apple cart. We should be more successful this time around if we get the Republicans to field the right candidates. The third party / candidate just splits the conservative vote, allowing the socialist Dems to win.

UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA

As hard as I and many others have been fighting against the gradual turn to socialism / communism, it seems we are losing badly. Sadly, we have come to the point that more people want / need the government to take care of them than don't.

An estimated 59% of the 308.7 million people in this country today are receiving one or more forms of government payments every month. That's not QUITE as bad a statistic as it first appears, because that includes social security, medicare, and VA disability payments, but after removing those categories, it's still startling. And as I've said before, I do not consider social security / medicare to be an "entitlement". We have paid for that all our working lives.

42.4 million people get Medicaid. (Do not confuse that with Medicare, Medicaid is free healthcare for the "poor") 36.1 million receive food stamps. 12.4 million get housing subsidies. And while I don't have exact figures for this, many millions of working "poor" get the Earned Income Tax Credit, the government paying them for working instead collecting welfare, and state medical "cards" - more free healthcare.

Besides the fact that all of this is part of the huge federal deficit we're running, maybe the more important fact is we have created the snake who eats it's own tail. How many people are going to vote out of office the very people who are putting that cash in their pockets every month? Remember, overall, we are at the point where 53% of the people are supporting the other 47%. So already, come election time, they are very close to a majority. Then add in the millions of so called "independents" who are really uneducated on the issues, believing every thing they hear in campaign ads, and we're in serious trouble folks. Witness the inability of Congress to come together with any viable concrete plan to fix the problems. Again, because all they truly care about is getting reelected, even at the expense of running us into bankruptcy.

Again I remind you, we are right in the middle of the most crucial time in American history since the Civil War. If we don't solve these deficit / debt problems in the next several years, we're done. America will become a "Third World" country. That's why it is so critical for each and every one of you to not only be politically active, writing emails to your Congress people etc, but to take every opportunity to educate everyone you know on the issues.

OKLA CITY BOMBING BOMBSHELL

Doubt that your government lies to you? This is old news, but I'm sure many of you haven't heard a thing about this. And there are some new developments making the news. A federal judge has just ordered the FBI to release video tapes and other records pertaining to the 95 Oklahoma City bombing. The bottom line is the whole story of McVeigh / Nichols being the sole perpetrators of OKC is nothing but deliberate B.S. Hold your breath, because I'm about to tell you things that will make you question everything you hear from our government and mainstream media outlets.

Remember for a day or so after the bombing, every law enforcement agency in the country was looking for the “third terrorist of middle eastern decent”? Then all of a sudden that was a mistake? You remember that, right? Well, it was no mistake. In fact, Jayna Davis, a reporter for an Oklahoma City TV station, spent the next several years of her life tracking down the real story behind the bombing. If you want a real eye opener, read “The Third Terrorist” by Jayna Davis. In short, the truth is McVeigh and Nichols were hooked up with a cell of former Iraqi Revolutionary Guards, who were already in place in Okla. City. AND..... were connected to several of the terrorists who hijacked planes on 9/11. If you think this sounds far-fetched, I beg you, read the book. She's got the absolute proof. And the FBI and the rest of our wonderful gubmint shut her down. An absolute coverup right from the git-go. A cover up that could only have come from the very highest levels.

Remember how quickly they put McVeigh in the chair? When every other person on death row goes through 20 plus years of appeals??? Ever wonder why?

The thing that really amazes me isn't only that our government wanted to cover all this up, but that in all the lead up to the Iraq invasion, not once did any of this come to light. You also remember that Saddam Hussein was behind an assassination attempt on Bush the Elder in Houston, right? Funny how that never made the mainstream news either and was never mentioned in the lead up to Iraq. Only possible WMD's.

If you really want to know how badly our government is pulling the wool over your eyes, and learn that our military is just as screwed up as Washington with power grabs and glory greed, all it takes is to read two books. The aforementioned “The Third Terrorist” and “Kill Bin Laden, the real story of Tora Bora” by Dalton Fury. Dalton Fury is the pen name of the Delta Force commander on site at Tora Bora when Bin Laden escaped out the back door to Pakistan. Why did that happen? Two major reasons : Infighting amongst the generals as to who was going to be in control and get the glory, and political correctness. Political correctness, you ask? Yep, that's right. We had to have our Afghanistan allies involved. So what do we do? Give them arguably the most important task – the blocking force. Anyone who has ever been involved in military strategy and / or combat knows that the blocking force is just as critical as the attacking forces. THE BLOCKING FORCE KEEPS THE ENEMY FROM JUST RUNNING AWAY TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY. So we give that critical job to the Afghan army, which is rife with Taliban / Bin Laden sympathizers, and he walks out the back door, surprise, surprise. 9 years, 9 gazillion dollars, and 1480 plus young American lives later, we finally get him.

Please, educate yourself. Get pi**ed off. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Vote the career scumballs out of office, and send a message to the Generals : We're mad and we're not going to take it any more.

AFGHANISTAN - TIME TO GET OUT?

Now that Bin Laden is dead, is it time to get out of Afghanistan? That is the only reason we went there in the first place. I say it is. Give them 6 more months only. 6 months to crush the Taliban's "spring offensive", 6 months more of training for Afghan police and army, and then bring 100% of our troops home. That is more than "mission accomplished". We have no further need or business there. If Karzai's corrupt regime collapses to the Taliban, that's their problem, not ours. Besides, we happen to have a major deficit/debt problem here, remember? If Afghanistan once again becomes a haven for terrorists plotting against Western targets, we can always go clean out that mess when the time comes.

OBAMA'S IMMIGRATION "FIX"

What a plan! Yes sir, once again the politicians prove how out of touch with reality they are. Obama's plan to "fix" out immigration policy / border problems is to give all illegal aliens a "path to citizenship".
Starting by requiring them to register with the government (he didn't specify which agency, no doubt he would create another multi-billion $ per year bureaucracy) and, pay attention now! : pay back taxes and fines, learn English, and submit to a criminal background check. Yes sir, I can see the long lines now. Bet they just can't wait, some of them may be lining up with cash in hand already.
Ah, now wait! We can waive the taxes and fines, just sign up to vote Democratic right here.

HOW MUCH LONGER AMERICA????? How much longer are we going to put up with these self-serving scumballs running our country? Till we no longer have a country that is recognizable as America? Till you can no longer feed your children? Till you are working like a slave for a Chinese company and still can't feed your children? How much more will it take to get you to write an email, attend a meeting, go to the polls and vote?

BIN LADEN RAID : WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

How much can you believe about the raid on Bin Laden's compound in Pakistan? So far they've changed the story a dozen times. The truth is, we may never know what really went on, or it will be 30 years from now when someone on their deathbed comes clean. Here's a few things to ponder:

1. They claim the Paki's had no idea they were coming, yet somehow our guys spent 40 minutes shooting / blowing things up / searching the compound within 3 miles of the Paki "West Point" and 3 brigades of Paki army troops and nobody showed up to see what was going on?

2. First reports said Seals blew up the downed chopper (Standard Operating Procedure, you don't let the enemy get your comm gear or anything else) and showed a pic of a huge fireball at the compound. Next day a pic comes out with futuristic looking chopper crashed partially over a wall at the compound. Which to believe?

3. First Bin Laden was armed and resisting, then unarmed but reaching for a weapon. Hahaha. Right, they've been shooting the place up for 10 minutes and he's what, cowering in a corner behind his wives and kids with no weapon in his hand and waits till they bust the door down to reach for it? Even a 3rd rate Hollywood screenwriter could come up with better stuff than this.

4. Burial at sea. Convenient. No body, no evidence. Who knows what they dumped into that ocean? They might actually be waterboarding him somewhere right now. Or not. The only ones who really know won't be talking.

Or, Obummer knew he needed a boost in the polls for reelection and it's all B.S. But then Bush was behind 9/11 and the Rothchilds etc. are taking over the world right?

The only candidates generating any real interest are so called "Tea Partiers", and rightfully so. Here's my take on a few of the hopefuls.

Sarah Palin: Unfortunately irrelevant. While I personally think she'd probably make one heck of a good president (have you seen what she actually accomplished in her short stint as governor of Alaska?) she has blown her chances by resigning her governorship when the going got real tough, and quite frankly, acting ditzy on her TV show.

Michelle Bachman: She's got the right ideas and the right stuff, but not nearly enough national exposure yet.

Donald Trump: Should he by some chance get the nomination, he doesn't stand a chance against Obama because he's a loose cannon. Big money and big mouth do not necessarily a good president make.

And finally, just who the heck is Herman Cain? This former VP at Pillsbury, Former chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, newspaper columnist, and radio talk show host set the world abuzz at the candidate debates in S.C. the other night. According to every poll taken he blew the rest of them away. He is very conservative, and unlike 99% of political candidates, has more than b.s. generalities to his platform. This man has solutions, knows exactly what has to be done to get them implemented, and isn't afraid to step on toes to get things done. Oh, and did I mention that he's black? Which makes him an attractive opponent against Obama. Because let's face it, in order to win the general election the GOP candidate is going to have to pull some of the black vote away from Obama.

My favorite ticket? Chris Christie and Lt. Col. Allen West. But the last I heard Christie was still adamantly refusing to run. Too bad.

Another example of the religion of peace: On April 14th Chicago resident James Larry, a prison convert to Islam, killed his mother, wife, 7 month old son, 3 year old niece, and 16 year old niece because they refused to convert to Islam. His quote? Allah tells us to do it in the Quran. The court has found no symptoms of insanity. As I said, don't think the struggle against evil is over just because we got Bin Laden. And we have become so stupid as a country that we are letting these maniacs preach jihad in mosques all over this country. Do not be surprised if the next strike is carried out by home grown Muslims.

WATCH OUT, OBAMA'S UP IN THE POLLS

Predictably, Obama's popularity has jumped in the polls following the Bin Laden raid success. But what's scary is 46% approve of the overall job he's doing. Which actually isn't too surprising I guess. After all, it's within 1 point of the percentage of the number of people who pay NO federal income tax. Let's hope the usual voter's short memory applies here, and by Nov. 2012 they've forgotten about Bin Laden.

I do have to admit I liked Obama's response to complaints that the sea burial wasn't respectful enough. He said we'd showed a lot more respect for him than he did for the 3k he'd killed on 9/11. Probably the best thing he's said since being elected. Now let's go get the rest of them!

RICH RICHER / POOR POORER AGAIN

According to Edward Wolff, economist, the median household WEALTH in the U.S. had dropped 36.1% since the high point of the housing bubble in 2007. The wealth of the top 1% households dropped only by 11.1%.
In terms of wealth distribution, as of 2007 the top 1% households owned 34.6% of all private wealth, with the next 19% having 50.5%. Thus the top 20% in terms of wealth owned about 85% of the wealth, leaving 15% for the bottom 80%. In terms of total net worth minus a households' home value, the top 1% had a 42.7% share.
What's the direction of travel? 1983 through 2004, wealth became more and more concentrated. The American Economy grew enormously during this period. 42% of the new financial wealth created went to the top 1%. 94% went to the top 20%, leaving some 6% to be shared out amongst the remaining 80% of us.

Which group do you think our Senators and Representatives fall into? Now don't get me wrong, I'm am not for government mandated "income redistribution". That is Obama's socialism. What I am in favor of is we the people fixing this. As I wrote before, we have the power to fix this just like we have the power to fix Congress. It's time for IRA and 401K holders to start shouting to boards of trustees about executive compensation etc. Since greed seems to be the motivator for everything in this country today, if you need motivation to get you screaming, think about this: all those millions going to executive bonuses should be going to your dividends.

MILITARY RETIREMENT PAY CUTS

I was talking to a friend last night who is retired Army with 30 years service. He told me between increased tax withholding, increases in health care deductions, etc. his net check is down $300 a month. Now two congressional panels and the president's debt reduction panel are calling for further cuts to the military retirement system. One major change being suggested is not being able to collect until age 57 or 60. So what's a 30 year vet who's body is worn out, mental condition is PTSD to some extent or another, supposed to do from age 48 to 57 or 60? Who's MOS (military occupational specialty) was infantry for example. What kind of job, at what kind of pay is he/she going to be able to get? There isn't much demand in the private sector for those kinds of skills when you're 48.
That's right, the government you put your life on the line for all those years is going to screw you one more time.

I am all in favor of debt reduction/cost cutting/elimination of waste and fraud/and huge reductions in the welfare giveaway programs, but this is NOT the place to do it. Let's start with Congress and their retirement and perks instead.

Congratulations Seal Team Six for carrying out a textbook perfect operation. It took almost 10 years, but we finally got him! Now, keep your eyes and ears open friends, you know they are going to try to retaliate, and they're going to try it right here in America. The work is not done, the war in Afghanistan is not won, the age of terrorism is not over, evil is not defeated. But, the world is a better place today. I'd sure have hated to be Bin Laden when he faced the judgement of the one true God, and found out who he'd really been serving all these years.

I have to admit, I am surprised Obama had the sense and gonads to OK this without notifying the Paki's first. Which, of course, would have resulted in an empty compound. Now, will we follow through, or will this success be used by the fool liberals as an excuse to cut the military budget even further?

NEWS, WHAT NEWS?

What a sad commentary on the state of television news today. Every network this morning, even Fox, is nothing but the "Royal Wedding". The real news is left to scroll across the bottom of the screen. Which is, of course, impossible to see while you're doing other things. Is this really relevant to anything in the real world? How many people actually want to sit and watch hours on end of that? Or maybe you'd rather get an update on the latest casualty figures from Afghanistan, or the terrible storms across the South, or Osama's (Oops, did it again, must be habit-I mean Obama's) latest fraud or power grab? Or, am I once again overestimating the intelligence of the average American in the 21st century, and hundreds of thousands are clamoring for this?

Hmmm, when I think about the rest of the TV programs, movies, and even a lot of the authors on the best seller list that Americans love today, maybe the last is right.

What are your thoughts on this, my readers? How much coverage of things like this is enough? How many hours on Lindsey Lohan's latest idiocy is enough? 5, 50, or 500 minutes? Click on comments below this post to share your opinion.

WHO IS BARRY SOETORO????

Barry Soetoro, aka Barak Hussein Obama. An Indonesian citizen of the Muslim faith. Absolute proof of this is available, I'll let you do your own research. Granted, he was just a kid, and truthfully, I really don't think it's going to make much difference if it is ever proven conclusively that he is constitutionally unqualified to be President. He's got too many people on the Supreme Court now. And even those who aren't "his" may chose to avoid the major upheaval that would result from nullifying every law he has signed since taking office. So, don't hold your breath.

The White House has just released a "long form birth certificate" for Obama. Having to get copies of my own birth certificate four years ago, I find several troubling items about this "official certificate".
First, let me say to those who think anyone who doesn't think Obama should be President is a racist, I would vote for Lt. Col. Allen West in a heartbeat. Now on to the "birth certificate". If this was so easily available to the state registrar on April 25th, 2011, why haven't ANY of the investigators who've been looking for it for 2 years been able to come up with it??? Until they fired him, the previous Hawaiian Registrar had stated it couldn't be found. And where is the SEAL OF THE STATE OF HAWAII and the SEAL OF THE REGISTRAR??? I am not saying this isn't real or true, it could well be. What I am saying is do not be so naive as to believe everything you read or hear. On ANY side of ANY issue until you do enough research yourself. Spin is EVERYWHERE today, both sides do it equally well.

The bottom line is it doesn't matter where he was born, or what shenanigans he's pulled over his lifetime. What does matter is the fact that he is a Socialist bent on turning America into Cuba/China/Venezuela etc. and he is hellbent on accomplishing his agenda whether he drives the country into bankruptcy or not. We need to get him out of office.

PAT TILLMAN - A GREAT AMERICAN

This is a few days late, as many of you know I was gone last week, so I'm playing catchup.

Friday was the 7th anniversary of Pat Tillman's death in Afghanistan. For those of you who don't remember, Tillman was an NFL player with the AZ. Cardinals who walked away from a multi-million $ contract to enlist in the Army after 9/11. From all the accounts I've read, Tillman was not only a great patriot, but he had the right ideas about life overall. Unlike 90% of politicians and businessmen today, they say he never cared about the money. Instead he understood what is really important in this life. Family, friends, honor, integrity, character. Sgt. Tillman should be held up to all young folks as the epitome of a REAL hero, not rap stars, movie stars, sports egomaniacs, etc. Do you think there's a chance of that happening in our educational system today?

Since we are on the subject of sacrifice for our country, I would once again like to ask you to support our troops with more than lip service. Two of my favorites are the Wounded Warrior Project, who gives long term rehabilitative care, and the Coalition to Salute America's heroes, who steps in with financial assistance because, as usual with anything concerning the military or government, it is taking 6 months plus for wounded troops to start receiving disability payments. A lot of these guys have wives and family to support while they are recuperating. These groups are stepping in and filling the gap, but they've got to have funds to do that. I know a lot of us are hurting financially now, but I'm sure most of us can find a spare $10 or $20 somewhere. It's the right thing, do it.

WHO IS BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA???

I present the following with a caveat, that being that everything I have learned about this was information gleaned from the Internet. However, these investigators seem to be real, competent, and have quite a bit of data to back up their claims. But one always needs to remember that anyone can write anything on the net. Look at Wikipedia, the online "encyclopedia". Anyone can write or edit entries with no one checking facts. That said, I personally believe this story has credibility. So here we go:

1. Obama's name AND known addresses have been linked to at least 27 different Social Security numbers! The one he uses currently was issued in the state of Conn. where he has NEVER lived. In fact, that number was issued in 76 or 77 to a person born in 1890. The Social Security Administration never reissues numbers. All inquiries and lawsuits seeking release of data from the SSA have been denied or just plain stonewalled. I believe it is a felony to use a fake SSN.

2. Although we haven't had a draft since after Vietnam, it is still a requirement for every male to register with the selective service when he turns 18. Obama's registration was filed in 2008, and altered to appear that it was made back when he was 18. This is also linked to the Connecticut SSN.

3. Not one single person remembers Obama being at Columbia University, even those with the same dual major (Poly Sci and Pre Law). Columbia, like every other institution connected to Obama's life, has refused to release any records pertaining to him.

4. It is generally known his boyhood mentor was the head of the communist party in Hawaii, and his association with Weather Underground figures is well documented.

Just who the heck is this guy, and whose money has been behind him from the beginning???? Someone paid for that expensive Columbia / Harvard education, and there are NO records of him EVER receiving a student loan.

In my humble opinion, this guy has pulled off the biggest scam in history.

USA TODAY CONFIRMS CSAC

I've been on the road, and not sure when I'll be able to connect to the 'net again, so this may be several days old news when you read this. Continuing and confirming what I've been telling you for the last several weeks, Standard and Poor's has just officially rated U.S. Treasury bonds as negative, sending the stock and bond markets into the first, and so far minor, tizzy. Folks, this is only the beginning, and I predict somewhat of a recovery for a short period of time. The major collapse won't happen until the IMF removes the dollar as the world standard currency. WHICH MAY HAPPEN AS SOON AS NEXT MONTH, but surely within 1 to 1 ½ years. This is another major red flag, and warning to those sharp enough to heed the signs.

Lest you think I am a voice crying in the wilderness, USA Today's editorial page today (4/18/11) is confirmation of everything I've been telling you about the last several weeks. If you have faith in our politicians in D.C. to do what's necessary to avoid the coming collapse, then do nothing. If you, like me, have lost faith in our politicians to actually accomplish anything that doesn't involve their reelection, then you need to take steps to protect your assets. Once again, I am not going to give you any concrete advice, other than to say put your money in things and places that do not involve the U.S. dollar. The rest is up to you.

STATES REVOLT AGAINST OBAMA'S POWERGRABS

Some good news for a change. Over half the states have court cases or legislation pending opposing various facets of the federal governments unprecedented and unconstitutional seizures of power.

27 states are petitioning the Supreme Court to overturn Obamacare on constitutional grounds. This should be a no-brainer for the court. The constitution specifically gives the federal government certain powers, and cedes everything else to the states. Requiring every citizen to purchase insurance under threat of fines and jail is definitely not one of them.
24 states have bills in their legislatures or have already passed clones of Arizona's immigration law.
13 have bills requiring presidential candidates to prove their eligibility (natural born citizen) before being listed on their ballots.
8 states, led by Montana, have bills or have passed legislation exempting firearms manufactured and sold in their states from all federal gun laws.
Utah, recognizing the coming worthlessness of US paper money has legalized gold and silver for legal tender.
Even the somewhat liberal states of Vermont and New Hampshire are raising Cain about federal interference.

Good to see people are finally waking up and paying attention!

OBAMA'S BUDGET SPEECH = A CAMPAIGN STUMP

Once again President Obama showed what a good orator and campaigner he is. The man is excellent at giving wonderful, motivational speeches that really say nothing. I suffered the pain of watching for 10 minutes or so and came away with three thoughts.
1. He is reposturing himself for the 2012 campaign, reading the voters writing on the wall and all of a sudden he's "concerned" with the deficit. I see on Fox News this morning I wasn't the only one to get this.
2. He's still way out in la la land, thinking wealthier people WANT to pay more taxes.
3. Why do these politicians all call Social Security and Medicare "entitlements" and say they're the programs that have to be cut?

Let's examine number 3 a bit. The last time I checked they were still taking Social Security (6.something %) off of worker's paychecks. And employers were still required to contribute a matching 6.whatever %. Self employed pay both, 12.something % And Medicare was still being deducted. Get this politicians:
YOUR DAMN RIGHT I'M ENTITLED TO GET MY OWN MONEY BACK, WITH INTEREST!!!
Now Medicaid is a horse of a different color. That's free healthcare for illegal aliens and welfare recipients. Why don't they talk about getting rid of that???

Now let's look at number 2: the wealthy want to pay more taxes. Yeah, they're talking about 200k and up. If they wanted to pay more taxes why do they all pay accountants to find every single deduction they possibly can??? Why do corporations have entire departments who do nothing but structure their financials to get every tax break they can? Pay off politicians with campaign donations to created loopholes for them???? Huh, tell me why Mr. President.
Now I was not even close to their idea of wealthy, but I did make decent money. Here's what they used to take off my paycheck: Over 18k in federal withholding. 6 or 7k for Medicare. Don't remember what the Medicaid was. And I paid that kind of money for many years. YES, I want my Social Security and Medicare. At my job that generated that income, I worked close to 70 hours a week. Would YOU want to pay more than 25k in fed taxes a year to support people who don't work??? No, I didn't think so.. Somehow I doubt anyone else does either.

Ok, number 1: Unfortunately, history tells me that close to half of the people in this country today will fall for his B.S. again. Remember that come Nov. 2012 and make sure YOU vote.

OUR GOV NOW AS CORRUPT AS ANY 3RD WORLD COUNTRY

It seems like almost every day now there is a new revelation about the corrupt shenanigans being perpetrated at the expense of every US taxpayer, and indeed, the welfare of our country. Well, here's another one. Obama and his cronies are repaying the unions and campaign donors with another $5 billion of OUR money.

Did you know that Obama care includes $5 billion to reimburse profitable companies, unions, and state pension funds (another union deal) for healthcare costs of early retirees? No, I didn't think so, because "we had to pass the bill in order to find out what's in it". Of course you recognize that quote from our genius former House majority leader, Nancy Pigosi. Just for starters, how about $206 million to the United Auto Workers? $37 million to GE, who earned 14 billion last year and paid $0 in taxes. (see: GE taxes -why we need to get the crooks out 3/28/11)

This revelation follows directly on the heels of the news about McDonalds, Wal-Mart, and 9,998 other corporations being granted exceptions to complying with the new health care law.

Which follows the news of the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on American citizens, the financial bailout / housing repo ripoff I wrote about earlier. (See: Biggest legal scam in history 4/5/11)

Our government, both the politicians and the bureaucrats, are so utterly corrupt today that IF we were still putting men on the moon they'd smell the stink all the way up there.

WE CAN PUT A STOP TO ALL OF THIS in Nov. of 2012. Do not have a short memory, like so many voters of today. Stay informed, stay active, and be part of the solution.

AMERICAN BUSINESS IN THE 21ST CENTURY

My day today is a sad commentary on the state of American business. I had to deal with 5 businesses today and only one didn't get me aggravated by lousy service or rip off practices.

1. Found out I can't get my teeth cleaned by a new dentist unless I spend $135 for xrays first.
2. Called a business I had ordered a new DSLR camera from last Wed. and didn't even have a shipping confirmation for yet. Ah, no wonder no confirmation, hasn't been shipped yet. Seems they don't keep ANY inventory, must order stuff after it's sold. Then I'm told I can have it shipped 3 day for $40. Duh, they'd make about $25 on the shipping. Unhappy? Too bad, cancel your order, you won't get any better service anywhere else.
3. Go to the local Ford dealership for a recall reprogram of the ECM and an oil change on my diesel pickup. Included in the oil change is supposed to be a free 27 point inspection that looks at tires/pressures/brakes/lights, drain water from the fuel filter, etc. Good thing I happened to be standing outside when the tech brought it around. Asked him how the tire pressures were and he told me he hadn't checked. Asked him if there was any water in the fuel filter, guess what? Yep, hadn't done it.
4. My credit card bill came in a USPS envelope. Must have been in a truck with a leaking roof or something. It had gotten soaked. About the only thing you could read was my name and address.
So, call the credit card company to ask them to send me another bill. Sorry, I don't speak Pakistani or Indian. I THINK they'll be sending me another, but not totally certain.

The only good experience of the day was walking into my local bank and being greeted by name, not only by the teller, but also by the customer service rep. Of course, they've got my money :-)

As I've said before, we are sinking to the level of our own mediocrity

OBAMA GOES FOR ANOTHER POWER GRAB ALA CHAVEZ

Pay attention, this is getting positively scary. Obama has already succeeded in consolidating far more power in the executive branch than was ever envisioned by the founding fathers or done by any previous president. Through his appointment of dozens of "czars" not needing congressional confirmation to run huge agencies, takeover of the financial and auto sectors of business, and governing through executive orders he is following the footsteps of Hugo Chavez, Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro et al. Now he wants Congress to exempt from their approval key positions in the Justice Dept. having to do with gun control.

In the past, I've always mentally rolled my eyeballs up when people start talking about conspiracies, but I'll tell you folks, this is really starting to worry me. Envision this: as I've said in previous posts, we are very close to the IMF removing the US dollar as the world's standard currency, resulting in an immediate devaluation of the dollar to the tune of 25 to 40%. That makes every single thing you buy cost 25 to 40% more, including food. This is what precipitated the riots and overthrow of the government in Egypt, and is fueling the unrest everywhere else in the world. It's coming here. Yes, riots in the streets because people can't feed themselves or their kids. I haven't been able to figure out why Washington hasn't been doing something about this, they surely know. Maybe I've finally got it. What a perfect opportunity to declare martial law, putting ALL control in the hands of the President. Martial law suspends the Constitution, allowing the President complete control of everything, INCLUDING THE PRESS.

Am I getting paranoid in my old age or do you think I might be on to something here? Your comments are welcome.

HARRY REID ALMOST BROKE MY TV

Watched some of Harry Reid's budget speech to the Senate yesterday. After about 5 minutes I wanted to punch him so bad I almost put my fist through my television set. What a lying, conniving, piece of sh** he is. He and Nancy Pigosi, what a pair they make.

Here's the scenario: Republicans wanted to remove funding for our state sponsored abortion factory, Planned Parenthood. Did you know your taxes paid for 330,000 abortions last year? Yes, they do offer other services such as free mammograms, STD treatment, and giving your 13 year old daughter birth control without your consent, but their major thing is abortion. Now, back to Reid. "My wife, daughters, and granddaughters will be denied medical care." Uh huh, you read that right. Reid's own wife, daughters, etc. Does anyone with an IQ over 70 actually believe Reid's family is going to Planned Parenthood for their medical care? I'll believe that when pigs fly. Yet that's what he claimed.

What makes me so angry is the deliberate lying. Folks, these scumballs know darn well what is happening because of their profligate spending ways, know darn well the country is on the verge of bankruptcy, yet continue on the same path for the sake of the votes of the freeloaders, illegal aliens, homosexuals, etc. Why do you think they refuse to actually do something about our border problems?

Barring a miraculous event on the scale of the return of Jesus Christ, I predict things in D.C. are not going to change before the 2012 elections, meaning it's going to be too late. Read my previous posts on the IMF's pending removal of the US dollar as the world standard currency.

Well folks, the Democrats are at it again and the Republicans are caving in. They did manage to cut a measly 38 billion. I'm so impressed (not!) What happened to the GOP's promise to cut 100 billion?
It's really no surprise, is it? Just amazes me how the Dems can claim that cutting the equivalent of one grain of sand on the beach is "drastic", "dire" measures that will hurt Americans. Yeah, no kidding, it'll hurt the freeloaders with their outstretched hands. Meanwhile completely ignoring what's going to happen to EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN when their continued outrageous deficit spending causes the US dollar to be worth nothing.

Once again the politicians, mainly Democrats, have proved what true scum they are. Once again they have flushed America down the drain by catering to their voter base to get reelected instead of doing what's right for the country. For you Democrats out there: when are YOU going to let your party know that the current policies of the party are NOT good for the country? Once again I remind you that we have no one to blame but ourselves for the mess we are in. We, the people, have the power to vote these scumballs out of office. We, the people, have the power to let our elected representatives know how we feel about issues.

I know you're tired of hearing me harp about this, but I have to ask you each again : what have you done to help save our country lately? Written any emails? Made any phone calls? We all need to get mad enough, and scared enough, to take the few minutes to make a difference. I have heard so many times over the years that "my vote doesn't mean anything", "my opinion means nothing to them", etc. etc. My answer? One man CAN change the entire world. Jesus Christ. CHEAP, CLEAN ENERGY IS HERE!

WOW, WOW, WOW!

Wow, it really is here! Professor Daniel Nocera of MIT has announced he has succeeded in producing an efficient, low cost, artificial leaf. What's that got to do with energy you ask? It's called a leaf because it mimics a leaf's photosynthesis process. It splits ordinary water into hydrogen and oxygen, which is then used to charge a fuel cell. Nocera claims one of these playing card sized solar cells can operate a house on 1 gallon of water a day. (Assuming it's a sunny day, I guess :-)

I honestly thought this was an April Fools Day joke when I first read it, but the press release was 3/28.
Then I did the research and it's no joke. A large Indian multi-national corporation, Tata Group, has licensed the patent already. They say they'll have a refrigerator sized power plant by next year.

This is the biggest advance in practical science since the invention of the transistor. This truly has the capability of removing the world's dependence on oil, and, it's an all natural process, no pollution. And unlike a lot of other new technologies, this is supposed to be easily affordable.

Now if the physicists would just hurry up with my "beam me up Scotty" beam :-)

SOME GOOD NEWS FOR A CHANGE

A few Senators are finally getting the message. Jerry Morgan (R-Ks), Mike Lee (R-Ut), and Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) have informed their colleagues and Senate leadership that they will filibuster any bill to increase the federal debt limit. Furthermore, they are backing Senator Pat Toomey's (R-Pa) bill for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. This bill would also cap government spending at a percentage of GDP.

A constitutional amendment takes years to get enacted, as it has to be ratified by the states through elections, but this is a definite must need if we are going to start to fix our problems. Let your Senators and Representatives know that you back this bill.

THE BIGGEST LEGAL SCAM IN HISTORY

This one is guaranteed to get you p***ed off. This is way worse than Bernie Madof's ponzi schemes, worse than the savings and loan bailouts of a few years back, in fact, it's probably the biggest ripoff of taxpayer money ever perpetrated! And it's totally legal. Why is it legal? Because the bought politicians allowed it.

Remember when large Indymac Bank was seized by the FDIC back in '08? In July of '09 the FDIC sold Indymac's assets to One West Bank for 70% of par value. One West Bank is owned by Goldman Sachs VP Steven Munchin, George Soros, and John Paulson. Former Sec. of the Treasury Henry Paulson is also an ex CEO of Goldman Sachs. Are we seeing the connections? Soro's / Obama, Goldman Sachs / FDIC? Ok, hold on to your hats, because when you finish reading this they'll be ready to blow off your heads.

Remember, One West only paid 70% of the value to start with. As part of the purchase deal, the FDIC agreed to guarantee 80 to 95% of any loss One West incurred on any mortgage. This guarantee is based on THE TOTAL ORIGINAL MORTGAGE, not the amount owed. So Joe Homeowner pays on his place for 15 years, loses his job, and gets behind. Let's just use simple figures as an example. Joe's original mortgage was 100,000. After 15 years let's say the balance was 60,000. One West forecloses on Joe and seizes his property. They sell it for 50,000. Ok, they took a 10k loss. Oops, no they didn't, remember they only paid 70% of that 60k to start with: equals 42k. equals profit of 8k. Now the FDIC pays them 80% of the fake loss based on the original 100k mortgage: 50k x .8 = 40k. THAT'S 40K OF OUR TAXPAYER'S MONEY for a deal they already made $8,000 on! Then, to add insult to injury, they make Joe Homeowner sign a promissory note for the $10k they "lost" on his property!
I want in on this investment. Make 48k on a 42k investment in a year! And that's only if they never get another cent out of old Joe. That's just a low example of one deal. Many of these loans are 250k and up. I don't have figures of how many homes have been taken so far, but you can bet they're grabbing every one they can as fast as they can. By the time this is done I'm sure it will be approaching a billion $ ripoff. Do not miss a single payment on your mortgage!

This is another perfect example of why we need to clean house in D.C. It's not only the politicians, it's all the bureaucrats running the agencies too. The revolving door, go from Congress or heading an agency to CEO of private companies under the regulation of said agency, etc. etc. They are all scum. Our government is rotten to the core. And American businessmen are just as bad today. As I say at the top of this blog, outright, outrageous GREED is destroying our country.

We can fix this, but we HAVE to stay politically involved!

SORRY, BUT MORE BAD ECONOMIC NEWS

More and more economists and economic researchers are predicting a major stock market crash due to our governments continued failure to immediately address our drastic debt problems.

Highly respected researcher Harry Dent, founder of H.S. Dent and The Dent Method, says it's coming by late this summer. Cites the continued printing of money by the Fed to pay interest on the debt, further devaluing the U.S. dollar. (see previous posts)

According to Stephen Moore in the Wall Street Journal, more Americans are now employed by government at all levels (fed, state, local) than in construction, farming, fishing, forestry, manufacturing, mining and utilities COMBINED! Half of the total of 2.2 trillion in state and local government debt is for pay and benefits (including retirement) of employees. That's right, government is the single largest employer in the country. If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what will. It's one of the reasons we now have 53% of the people supporting the other 47%.

I say again: This CANNOT continue. It doesn't work. We are seeing the results of this tremendous growth in government now - state, local, and our federal government on the very precipice of bankruptcy.

And again I say: This is the most critical time in the history of America since the Civil War. We cannot allow self serving political power mongers to continue on this path. PLEASE, PLEASE,
stay involved. You don't have to write a physical letter or even make a phone call. Use the resources at the top of this page to find your particular Representative and Senator and dash off an email. Simply tell them they MUST support the Paul Ryan budget proposal or they will lose their job come Nov. 2012. (See prior post). Ten minutes of your time to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

FINALLY A BIT OF SANITY IN CONGRESS - BUT!!!!!

The budget mess in D.C. finally has someone with a grip on reality proposing a budget. Tea Party backed representative Paul Ryan, (R - Wis) has presented a complete 2012 budget that cuts $4 trillion over the next 10 years. Now we're talking some real money. Full details haven't come out yet, but big cuts everywhere, including revamping Medicare and Medicaid. Of course the Dems are already attacking it without even knowing what's in it. Oh, that's right, I forgot. They have to pass it to learn what's in it.

I expect to see a huge battle over this bill. And it is likely the most important piece of legislation that has been before Congress in years, and years to come. It's now or never to save our country from bankruptcy. We are going to see who has real balls, and puts the U.S. before their personal gain, and who just wants to be reelected.

Should be interesting and we all need to keep a close watch on this and let OUR congress people know how you feel.

STATES IN ALMOST AS BAD A SHAPE AS FEDERAL GOVT.

Most of you are probably aware of your individual states budget problems but may not be aware of how widespread and serious state deficits are. 44 states and the District of Columbia are carrying a combined $112 billion in debt. Several states are considering filing bankruptcy. If that happens, every person / bank / company that owns state bonds is going to take a huge pasting. Compounding the problems that are going to come when the dollar is devalued.

And it doesn't stop with the states either. Many cities are in the same situation. You see, this spend, spend, spend mentality of the current breed of politicians is not limited to Washington. No indeed, it starts at the local level. Let's build bicycle paths, dog parks, subsidize mass transit that almost no one uses, and on and on. As I've said before, these are nice things to have, BUT WE CAN'T AFFORD THEM! This spending HAS to stop.

OBAMA'S ENERGY PLAN SPEECH

For those of you who missed it yesterday, Osama gave a big speech on energy. What did he say?

That's right, a whole lot of nothing. As usual, nothing at all concrete, just a lot of propaganda. Basically his solution is a ten year plan to cut our oil imports by 30%. And what does it depend on? Is he opening up Anwar? No. Rescinding the Gulf drilling moratorium? No. We're going to depend on American ingenuity and innovation. That's right, he's got his fingers crossed someone is going to invent a perfectly clean, cheap energy source. Of course we're going to throw another couple billion to the universities and think tanks to fund more research. Like they haven't been looking for this for the last 10 or 15 years.

He says he does understand that the high price of gas is hurting lower income workers in particular. Sorry, you're just going to have to suffer for the next 10 years, but be happy, he feels your pain. No new drilling, no new anything except hoping some scientists / tech companies will pull our butts out of the fire. It's really a sad commentary on the state of the average American voter that over 50% of us fall for these glib tongued demagogues on election day.

This entire administration is in way over their heads on everything except turning America into a socialist haven.

Financial advisor Dave Ramsey put forth an interesting scenario recently on his nationally syndicated radio call-in program. Taking a hypothetical phone call from John Q. Public and his wife, We the People, in one brief illustration Ramsey demonstrated that no one in Washington , D.C. , is really serious about cutting spending.
Ramsey has a way of boiling large numbers down to their essence and showing us the absurdity of our debt crisis. In his radio example, his callers — "John" and "We" — are earning $58,000 a year. However, they are spending $75,000 a year. More importantly, they have credit card debt totaling $327,000. In fact, $10,000 of the family's income goes just to pay interest on those credit cards.
"Now, what would you expect my advice to this couple to be?" Ramsey asked his radio audience. He then proceeded to say that if he followed the current model of "cuts" being proposed in Washington, his recommendation would be that they reduce their annual expenditures by a mere $3,000 — all the way down to $72,000.
Ramsey has calculated that these numbers are in exact proportion to the actions of our federal government in dealing with our deficit. However, instead of terms like "billions" and "trillions," to which no one can relate, Ramsey has reduced the numbers to one we can all comprehend. Anyone with a brain can figure out that a family making $58,000 and spending $75,000, with $327,000 in credit card debt, is headed for bankruptcy — or worse.
This, most people would agree, is the classic definition of insanity. And yet, many Americans go merrily along pretending that somehow the reason for our debt is the war in Iraq, or the war in Afghanistan, or tax breaks for the rich or whatever other cliché entrenched Washington politicians want to throw out during election years. The truth is that we could eliminate every federal program in Washington and we still could not pay for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security at the current levels — and still provide for the defense of the country. The truth is that this nation cannot pay its bills, and like John Q. Public and his wife, We the People, we are in for a rude awakening when those bills come due.
It has become obvious over the last two years that Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress have no intention of being serious about the realities of our federal spending. Letting them set our national priorities is — in the words of satirist P.J. O'Rourke — tantamount to giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
It is tempting to believe that John Boehner and his House Republicans are any more serious than the Democrats about making the tough decisions to keep this nation from falling into a financial pit from which we can never escape; but all one has to do is look at their proposals to know they are not the least bit serious. They are as addicted to spending as Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, who ran our spending levels up to the point where we are now spending $1.5 trillion more than we are taking in this year. Meanwhile, Boehner and company want us to cheer about $6 billion in cuts?
We cannot continue in serious times with unserious people representing us in Washington . They have taken the United States of America from the greatest, strongest, most prosperous country on the face of the earth and turned it into a debtor nation. They have taken us from a shining city on a hill to a banana republic.
As Dave Ramsey concluded in his lesson to his listening audience, it is the 9,000-pound elephant sitting on our foot in the living room.

D.C. FIDDLES WHILE AMERICA BURNS

MY FRIENDS, THIS IS A DIRE WARNING! Remember me telling you about the International Monetary Fund (IMF) issuing a formal warning to the U.S. several months ago that our debt level was unsustainable? That we needed to cut spending drastically and increase tax revenues. So, what have our glorious politicians done about it? Cut the equivalent of one drop of water in the ocean out of the budget so far. Neither Republicans nor Democrats have even come up with a bill yet, they're passing 2 week budgets at a time, called Continuing Resolutions, or CR's.

The truth is it won't matter anyway. It's way too late now. The IMF is now proposing to replace the U.S. dollar with a brand new currency based on an average of 6 or 7 different currencies as the world standard. Yep, that's right. And China is the biggest one. This is going to happen. Almost certainly within the next 2 years. Maybe within the year. When this is implemented, it is going to cause a financial disaster that will make the Great Depression look like a cakewalk. Why are they doing this? Because the dollar has lost so much value in the last 10 years that it's only worth 60% of what it was then. Because they know it's only going to get worse. Why? I could write 10 pages full of why's but here it is in a nutshell: In order to pay just the interest on our debt, the Fed has been printing more and more money. That causes each dollar to be worth less and less. That's what we know as inflation.
What we're going to get when the IMF makes the change is hyperinflation. We'll be lucky if our dollar retains 40% of it's current value. THAT MEANS EVERYTHING YOU BUY IS GOING TO GO UP 60%! THAT MEANS YOUR 401K, YOUR IRA, YOUR CD'S IN THE BANK AND THE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET immediately will only be worth 40% of what it is today. Many, many people won't even be able to afford food and there will be riots in the streets.

Now I know you're going to be rolling your eyeballs, thinking I've become a real whack job. Do a little research for yourself. Find out China is unloading it's U.S. dollars as fast as they possibly can. They are buying up companies and real estate everywhere else in the world but here. Find out that the richest people and corporations in our own country are doing the same. Unloading U.S. assets as quickly as they can, replacing them with foreign investments. They know our currency is going to collapse. That's why gold and silver prices have skyrocketed.

OK, I'm not saying this to "toot my own horn", but because 90% of my readers are personal friends and I don't want to see you hurt. But I remind you of what I just said a few posts back: I have a 20 year plus track record of being extremely accurate at predicting things like this. But I don't want you to take my word on this, look into it yourself. I'm not going to tell you how to protect yourself, you're all smart enough to figure out ways to do that.

G.E. TAXES - WHY WE NEED TO GET THE CROOKS OUT

Here's a perfect example of why we need to get the crooks out of Washington. General Electric earned 14.2 billion in profits worldwide, including 5.1 billion on U.S. operations, last year. How much tax did they pay? $0. That's right, zero, zip, zilch, nada. And that's not the worst of it. Thanks to all the special interest tax breaks and credits their bought politicians managed to insert in the tax laws over the years, they actually ended up with a $3.2 billion tax credit! Corporate taxes historically made up 30 to 33% of federal tax revenue. That was back when we actually had politicians who cared about our country, instead of building their personal fortunes and futures. Today, corporations only contribute 6% of tax revenue. Meanwhile they continue to complain the U.S. tax burden is too high, and continue moving operations and jobs overseas.
How much did you pay on your meager little income? Does that frost your drawers enough to make you remember come Nov. 2012?

Vote every damn one of them who isn't a Tea Party member out come 2012.

WAL-MART'S BUSINESS MODEL

Old Sam Walton would roll over in his grave if he knew how his stores were being run today. Wal-Mart has been the most successful American business since the advent of Microsoft. I believe they are the largest private employer in the country today. Of course 80% of those are part timers - no benefits.
But, the larger and more successful a business gets, the less they care about their customers.
I finally got aggravated enough with the lousy inventory control at my local Supercenter to write a letter to them. This is the worst grocery store I've ever shopped at for being out of stuff all the time. I'm a singe guy, and usually don't buy more than 15 or so items at a time. Yet almost without fail, they'll be out of at least 1 or 2 things I'm looking for. This is nothing but poor management, especially when many times it's the same items.

We are sinking to the level of our own mediocrity.

SAD COMMENTARY ON AMERICANS IN THE 21ST CENTURY

I'm sure this will be no surprise, but a recent Newsweek poll found 38% of Americans failed the test required for immigrants to become U.S. citizens. Got a grip on that, 38%???

44% could not identify the Bill of Rights as the first 10 amendments to our Constitution.
73% had no idea why we engaged in the "cold war" with the USSR.
29% could not name our current vice president.
6% couldn't even identify Independence Day as July 4th.
And the real kicker? 58% had no idea who or what the Taliban is. Guess they'll wonder why they're being beheaded when the Muslims succeed in taking us over through our own stupidity.

No wonder we're in the shape we're in.

Tiny new device out called the "Square" plugs into a cellphone and allows credit/debit cards to be scanned. Big advantage for small business people, considering the prevalence of younger people who carry no cash at all. Witness card readers at all the fast food joints nowadays.
Mark my words, and I'm telling you I have been extremely accurate with predictions of this type over the past 20 / 25 years. This is one more step leading up to the government doing away with paper money entirely. So what, you say?
The government will be able to track not only every cent of your money, but also where it came from and where you spent it. Ah, think of the tax ramifications! Yes sir, we can collect taxes we're missing now from the "underground economy". They'll just electronically whiz taxes out of your accounts and into their coffers.

We ALL need to stay informed and politically active to squash these kinds of things,

Have you been indoctrinated enough to allow Big Brother into your car with you yet? The state of Oregon, one of the most liberal in the country, is proposing to install a GPS monitoring system into every vehicle registered in the state. The stated reason is to implement a new tax on the amount of miles you drive. Oregon already has some of the highest gas taxes in the nation, but now they're complaining revenue is down because people are getting better mileage and driving less. OTHER STATES ARE WATCHING CLOSELY TO SEE IF OREGON GETS THIS ENACTED. If it flies there, how long do you think it will be before YOUR state tries it too?

While the tax increase part of this is bad enough, that's just the tip of the iceberg. This is a GPS system. Do you want government bureaucrats able to track your every movement 24/7/365??? Oh, you can bet they'll tell us they won't do that. Oh, we'll put "protections" in place to prevent that. Do you believe your government has never lied to you before? If so, God bless you, either you live in lala land or you've got your head in the sand. (Or somewhere else where it doesn't smell very good) Let me ask you this: if all they want is more revenue, why wouldn't they just raise the gas tax instead of forcing every citizen to spend several hundred $ for the GPS unit, create a multi million $ bureaucracy to track miles/taxes etc? You see, it makes no sense at all, does it? Still think there's no ulterior motive?

To those of us who are old enough to remember what freedom actually is, the thought that state governments would even consider this for one second boggles the mind. Don't think it can happen?
They've been turning our kids into sheeple for the past 25 years. Half these youngsters today never watch or listen to the news, (read a newspaper, are you kidding me?) have no clue about what's going on the world, and even if they did, if it doesn't affect them personally right at that moment, they could care less. A shrug of the shoulders.

VERIZON - THE BERNIE EBBERS BUSINESS MODEL

Ya'll remember Bernie Ebbers, the World Com CEO, creator of the (formerly - now bankrupt) largest telecom company in the world? You remember, the one who went to jail for a long, long time?

As I've said before, it seems all American businesses are just plain crooks nowadays. Verizon Wireless has adopted Ebbers way of doing business. Tell you you're in a 4G service area when you are not, advertise $50 per month cost which, when you receive the estimated billing charges a week or so later in the mail, you find out that with Verizon's "surcharges" and taxes goes up a miraculous 80% to $90 per month! Then, when you return the modem because of all the above, they charge you a $35 return fee. Wonder how long it will be till someone files a class action lawsuit? Any attorneys out there want to volunteer their services?

LIBYA - GOOD OR BAD?

Wow, here we are involved in another war overnight. And I'm not sure what to think about that yet. Of course I sympathise with the rebels, they're the underdogs. However, we know next to nothing about them at this time. Maybe we'll get lucky and this won't backfire on us. But are we spending a billion $ worth of munitions and putting our pilots in jeopardy to create another radical Muslim state? I tend to think this is a lose lose situation. We would have lost an opportunity to help create a Muslim state friendly to the U.S. by doing nothing. But are we going to accomplish that? And we've certainly succeeded in alienating more Muslim states by intervening. And Ghadafi hadn't bothered anyone outside Libya since Reagan destroyed his palace and killed some of his family members.

As I said, at this point I don't really have enough information to form an opinion one way or the other. What are your thoughts? Please leave a comment.

Who's more out of touch with reality, Harry Reid or Charlie Sheen? Both are living in some kind of fantasy world. Sheen's mind is fried by drugs, what's you're excuse Harry?

Reid just stated that the Tea Party movement will fade away by the 2012 elections. Proving he understands absolutely nothing about why the average working American is p***ed off at our government. Hey Harry! Pay attention, here's just one reason out of a million: Why in the HELL are we sending foreign aid to China??? When China owns 1/3 of the U.S. debt??? Answer that one for us Harry.

How do these morons continue to get reelected?
# 1: They do anything they can to continue to allow illegal aliens to enter this country, AND to VOTE. Yeah, that's right, they're facilitating voting by illegal aliens.
# 2: The average American voter does not educate himself before he goes to the polls. They stand there looking at the names on the ballot and vote for one they recognize, which is usually the incumbent.
# 3: They've been taking the big campaign contributions (read : bribes) so they've got more money for advertising.
# 4: They court every liberal special interest group. That includes radical environmentalists, homosexuals, unions, pro abortion people, and on and on.

Please do not be an average American. Stay informed, stay active, and help save our country for our children and grandchildren.

12TH IMAM THE ANTI-CHRIST?

An extremely interesting new book is out. "The Islamic Anti-Christ" by Joel Richardson advances and presents very viable arguments for an idea I have wondered about since I first heard about the Koranic prophecy of the return of the 12th Imam, also known as the "Mahdi", shortly after 9/11. And basically, that is : Is Islam the false church (the Whore of Babylon in the King James Version) of Bible prophecy?
Even if you're not a Christian, you've probably heard that almost all of the Bible prophecy concerning "the end times" and Armageddon have already been fulfilled. If not, here are just a few:

There will be an explosion of knowledge. 100 years ago we didn't even have indoor plumbing. Now we have microwaves, cell phones, nuclear reactors, and spacecraft.

There will be "earthquakes in many places" : The number of earthquakes worldwide has increased almost exponentially since the early 1900's.

There will be wars and rumors of wars : There are more regional conflicts in progress right now than at any other time in history.

Man's love for his fellow man will fall away: Just look at our society and world today.

There will be false prophets everywhere: Witness the number of TV and mega-church pastors exposed as homosexuals and frauds.

If you give even a cursory examination to Islam, it becomes apparent that Muhammad espouses a philosophy that is the direct antithesis of Christ's message. Jesus says "turn the other cheek", Muhammad said "behead the infidel".

Thanks for sending me this John. This is what I said earlier about Obama and his cronies actually wanting the price of oil (energy) so high. Is it really any surprise that oil and gas prices are surging toward the record highs we saw in 2008 just prior to the economic collapse? Despite the President’s strange assertions in his press conference last week, his Administration is not a passive observer to the trends that have inflated oil prices to dangerous levels. His war on domestic oil and gas exploration and production has caused us pain at the pump, endangered our already sluggish economic recovery, and threatened our national security.

The evidence of the President’s anti-drilling mentality and his culpability in the high gas prices hurting Americans is there for all to see. The following is not even an exhaustive list:

Exhibit A: His drilling moratorium. Guided by politics and pure emotion following the Gulf spill instead of peer-reviewed science or defensible law, the President used the power of his executive order to impose a deepwater drilling moratorium. The Administration even ignored a court order halting his moratorium. And what is the net result of the President’s (in)actions? A large drilling company was forced to declare bankruptcy, the economy of the region has been hobbled, and at least 7 rigs moved out of the Gulf area to other parts of the world while many others remain idle. Is it any surprise that oil production in the Gulf of Mexico is expected to fall by 240,000 bbl/d in 2011 alone?

But that’s just the Gulf. There’s also the question of a moratorium on the development of Alaska’s Outer Continental Shelf. It seems the Obama Administration can’t agree with itself on whether it imposed a moratorium there or not. The White House claims that they didn’t, but their own Department of the Interior let slip that they did. To clear up this mess, Gov. Parnell decided to sue the DOI to get a solid answer because such a federal OCS drilling moratorium would violate federal law.

Exhibit B: His 2012 budget. The President used his 2012 budget to propose the elimination of several vital oil and natural gas production tax incentives. Eliminating these incentives will discourage energy companies from completing exploratory projects, resulting in higher energy costs for all Americans – and not just at the pump. According to one study mentioned in a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed, eliminating the deduction for drilling costs “could increase natural gas prices by 50 cents per thousand cubic feet,” which would translate to “an increased cost to consumers of $11.5 billion per year in the form of higher natural gas prices.”

Exhibit C: His anti-drilling regulatory policies. The U.S. Geological Survey found that the area north of the Arctic Circle has an estimated 90 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil and 1,670 trillion cubic feet of technically recoverable natural gas, one third of which is in Alaskan territory. That’s our next Prudhoe Bay right there. According to one industry study, allowing Royal Dutch Shell to tap these reserves in Alaska’s Chukchi and Beaufort seas would create an annual average of 54,700 jobs nationwide with a $145 billion total payroll and generate an additional $193 billion a year in total revenues to local, state, and federal governments for 50 years. This would be great news if only the federal government would allow Shell to drill there. But it won’t. It’s been five years since Shell purchased the lease to develop these fields, but it’s been mired in a regulatory funk courtesy of the Obama Administration. After investing $3.5 billion in exploration programs (a significant portion of which went to ensuring responsible spill response and prevention), Shell announced last month that it has given up hope of obtaining the required permits to conduct exploratory drilling this year. That means no jobs and no billions in oil revenue from the Arctic anytime soon thanks to this Administration. Let’s stop and think about this for a moment. Right now Beltway politicos are quibbling over cutting $61 billion from our dangerously bloated $3.7 trillion budget. Allowing drilling in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas will enrich federal coffers by $167 billion a year without raising our taxes. If we let Harry Reid keep his “cowboy poetry,” would the White House consider letting us drill?

Taken altogether, it’s hard to deny that the Obama Administration is anti-drilling. The President may try to suggest that the rise in oil prices has nothing to do with him, but the American people won’t be fooled. Before we saw any protests in the Middle East, increased global demand led to a significant rise in oil prices; but the White House stood idly by watching the prices go up and allowing America to remain increasingly dependent on imports from foreign regimes in dangerously unstable parts of the world.

This was no accident. Through a process of what candidate Obama once called “gradual adjustment,” American consumers have seen prices at the pump rise 67 percent since he took office. Let’s not forget that in September 2008, candidate Obama’s Energy Secretary in-waiting said: “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” That’s one campaign promise they’re working hard to fulfill! Last week, the British Telegraph reported that the price of petrol in the UK hit £6 a gallon – which comes to about $9.70. If you think $4 a gallon is bad now, just wait till the next crisis causes oil prices to “necessarily” skyrocket. Meanwhile, the vast undeveloped reserves that could help to keep prices at the pump affordable remain locked up because of President Obama’s deliberate unwillingness to drill here and drill now.

Hitting the American people with higher gas prices like this is essentially a hidden tax and a transfer of wealth to foreign regimes who are providing us the energy we refuse to provide for ourselves. Like inflation, higher energy prices are a hidden tax on Americans who are struggling to make ends meet. And these high gas prices will be felt in the form of higher food prices due to higher transportation costs. Energy is connected to everything in our economy. Access to affordable and secure energy is key to economic growth, which in turn is key to job growth. Energy is the building block of our economy. The President is purposely weakening that building block and weakening our country.

ABSOLUTE PROOF : RICH GETTING RICHER

Here's the proof for prior post: The number of millionaires jumped 8% to 8.4 million in 2010. The number of "super millionaires", those with a net worth over 5 million, also jumped 8%. This is on top of a 16% jump in 2009. That makes a 24% increase in the total number of millionaires in the last 2 years, while the actual unemployment rate has hovered around 16%.
A note about an individuals net worth: The largest chunk of the average Americans net worth is the equity in their home. And as you all know, home values have dropped precipitously the last 3 years. In fact, many, many people today owe more on their home than it is now worth. Making the above figures even more astounding.
And it's not just the unemployed/underemployed who are suffering. The majority of people still working are lucky if they haven't had to take pay cuts. At the least, just about everyone I know say their workload has increased drastically because they have to do the work of laid off or not replaced workers. With no corresponding increase in their wages. Of course the business owners/shareholders are making more, they're getting more work for the same pay. Take the new Harley CEO, for example. His total compensation last year was over $6 million. Harley profits were up by $150 million. How did he do it? Laid off 1800 workers and made the rest of them take a pay cut. These people are no better than crooks.

CALIF. NUKE PLANTS

Finally heard someone talking about all the nuclear plants in Calif. today. Sure took them long enough. Maybe I'm sensitive to the subject since I lived near TMI when that disaster happened. Unlike the general American public, I know about the cancer clusters that have been showing up for the last 20 years around around the TMI area. They've tried, and mostly succeded, in hiding/hushing that up. Obama and the "Greenies" in his admin have been pushing for more nuke plants. (It's "clean" energy) Watch what happens when the "big one" hits California.
So, what's your druthers, die of air pollution from coal fired plants or radiation from the nuke plants? Personally, I'll take my chances with the air pollution. Which, by the way, is not nearly as bad as years ago with all the scrubber technology employed today. Besides, it won't kill 100,000 people if something happens at a coal fired plant while the operators are asleep on the job, which they've been caught at multiple times at TMI and many other nuke plants.

I still say we need the "beam me up Scotty" beam :-)

Speaking of global warming, I'm really getting sick of it. We had frost in N. Fla. again this morning. An all time record low for 3/11. That's about the tenth all time record low this winter. This after weeks of low 80's highs and mid 50's to mid 60's lows. Had to cover my flowers and tomato plant. Darn Sarah and those nasty conservatives anyway. Ah well, it's going to be 72 by this afternoon :-)

President Obama and the rest of his flunkies think it's a good thing gas prices are nearing $4.00 per gallon. "People are changing their driving habits already" was the spokesmans comment. Ah yes, a "greener" world. And another example of just how out of touch they are with everyday working Americans. They must think everyone lives in a city and can take a bus to work. They must think everyone makes the $100/200k plus they make and can just cut a bit of nonessential (now called discretionary) spending. Wonder where they've been the last 3 years? Wonder if they're actually capable of rational thought at all? Pelosi: "we have to pass this bill in order to find out what's in it". Need I say more?

Remember, we all need to stay politically involved if we're going to fix our country.

STRATEGIC OIL RESERVE

A lot of the American public today shares some of the same faults as our politicians. Specifically, the inability to think beyond the end of their noses. Every time the price of gas/oil spikes they start calling for the government to release oil from the strategic reserve. I wonder how many of those calling for this even realize why we have it in the first place? It's in case of war. Remember 90% of OPEC countries are Muslim? Remember 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq? Hmmm, yeah, let's release that oil that was bought at $28 per barrel so we can reduce current pump prices by 4 or 5 cents a gallon. Then we can replace it with new oil bought with taxpayer money at $100 plus. Brilliant.

NOBEL PRIZE WINNER AFFIRMS C.S. and C.

Nobel Prize winner Christian de Duve, professor emeritus at Rockefeller University, recently confirmed Common Sense and Circumstance's contention that the primary human trait is selfishness. (see post on human secularism) And he says if we don't get it under control, it will eventually destroy the planet and lead to the extinction of the human race. Says we are overrunning the planet and need to institute worldwide birth control similar to the Chinese. I agree. However, I'd like to add another stipulation to that. If you test less than 100 on the IQ scale or common sense scale, you don't get to reproduce at all. If there was a common sense test similar to the IQ test, just think how many politicians we could get rid of! (Just kidding, but it sure would help alleviate a lot of problems:-)

ONE GOOD GOVERNMENT LIE : UNEMPLOYMENT

Our government has and continues to lie to the American people daily, however their lying about the true unemployment rate will help our economy. Let me explain:
I first became aware of this back in the late 70's and early 80's. From the 70's through the early 90's we were always in boom or bust cycles. They usually lasted about 2 years or so. Everything would be going great guns, cars, houses, products selling and the economy humming along nicely. All of a sudden you'd start seeing newspaper and TV reports that this or that economic indicator had dropped. And the reports would increase weekly. The next thing you know, we were in a recession. Why?
People read that stuff and think "oh crap, a recession is coming, I may get laid off. I better stop spending on anything that isn't an absolute necessity". Bingo, a created recession. After a couple of years all of a sudden you'd here this went up, that went up, and bingo again, a boom cycle. That's what you call self-fulfilling prophecy. And I swear it was done deliberately. Why? Because the super rich creators made a killing and became even richer. How's that? They'd buy real estate, stocks, and businesses when the prices were down, sell when they went back up.

So, back to today. The government is fudging unemployment figures. The latest for Feb. says down .1 % to 8.9 seasonally adjusted. A lot of economists say the true figure is somewhere between 16.7 and 22% when you count those who have taken part time jobs because they can't find a full time job, and those who have become so discouraged and depressed they've quit looking. But I say this is one government lie that may benefit us in the short term, albeit not like the old days. This one has hit so deep and for so long people are out of resources. They've spent their savings just to survive. But watch for more encouraging reports, a little bit at a time, in the future. Eventually it will help.

BORDER INSANITY

It appears we have learned nothing since 1983 when we lost 241 men in the Beirut barracks bombing. Here's something you probably won't read about anywhere, because they don't want it known: Although our Marines were guarding the airport in the midst of a violent civil war, and having recieved many threats to get out or else, the sentries were NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE AMMO FOR THEIR WEAPONS. That is a firsthand account from my brother-in-law, who was there.

Now, 28 years later, we find Homeland Security/ICE/Border Patrol following the same idiotic thinking. Our Border Patrol agents are armed with non-lethal rubber bullets facing drug runners with semi and fully automatic weapons. Yep, we wouldn't want to hurt anyone, now would we? Ask other Border Patrol agents how they feel about that, after just losing one of their own recently. Not only that, but two of the weapons recovered after that fiasco were from THOUSANDS the BATF knowingly ALLOWED to be sold to Mexican gun runners. Now go figure that one out.

How do these total morons get in the positions they're in????

WELFARE

Got a 2nd personal look at our current welfare state the other day. Happened to get in line behind a couple of beneficiaries of our government largess at the grocery store. Man: 400 lbs. Woman: 300 lbs or more. 2 way overweight kids. Groceries separated into 5 different piles. Woman fills out some kind of voucher for each of 4 of the piles. All of which has me standing in line for at least 15 minutes. A couple of weeks ago the same thing had happened to me at a different store, and the people were just like this couple: extremely obese.

As I've said before "America is the only country in the world where the poor are fat". I don't wish to see anyone starve, but this is ridiculous. Those two families are eating enough to feed a dozen adults. And we are paying for it. And I'd bet we're paying their rent and medical care also. Oh, yeah, that's right, they're disabled. Disabled because they're too fat to do any work. Somehow they manage to procreate though.

We CAN fix this, stay politically involved.

BUY ENERGY COMPANY STOCKS

MORE ON THE RAPE OF AMERICA BY OUR OWN CORPORATIONS

This latest round of price hikes on gas and diesel fuel is outright robbery. Just a few days after the trouble started in Egypt, pump prices here started rising. And as you no doubt know, have continued to jump almost daily. Here's the truth: The oil bought on the market today won't be to our pumps until the middle of April. The gas you're buying at outrageous prices now was bought at the much lower prices of 1 1/2 to 2 months ago. Is it any wonder Exxon is making $30 billion a quarter? How long are we going to put up with this? Until we can't afford to drive to our $8.00 an hour jobs that are about all that's available today? Until we are all as dirt poor as those starving people in African countries?

You know why the government won't do anything about this price gouging. Because the oil companies own way too many congressmen and senators. See previous post about public financing of elections to solve this problem.

Meanwhile, my advice is buy stock in energy companies.

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ARE IDIOTS

This news report has me so angry, I really would like to travel to Columbia University and personally beat the living sh** out of every one of these incredibly stupid little jerks! And then put them on a plane and dump them in Iran or some other Muslim country.

As you may or may not know, many of our so-called "institutions of higher learning" banned the ROTC and military recruiting from their campuses during the Vietnam War. Many of them, particularly Ivy League schools, still do so. Columbia University has been thinking about rescinding that policy and conducted a "town hall meeting" for students to voice their opinions. When former Staff Sgt. Anthony Maschek, a current Columbia student who was hit 11 times in Iraq and spent 2 years recovering in Walter Reed, got up to speak he was booed, jeered, and called a racist. What did he say?
"It doesn't matter what you believe about war, there are bad men out there who want to kill you".

Need I remind you these are the morons who will be running this country in another 15 to 20 years? Of course these are the sons and daughters of the current morons running the show, so what would we expect?

LIFE, THE UNIVERSE, AND EVERYTHING

We're going to take another side road here for minute. But one that is definitely relevant to the current state of our society and government. And that is the role that religion plays in the world. One very recent thing in my life has had me thinking on this subject again. My young female cat is in heat for the first time. Until now, this cat would not let ANY other cat get near her. Now she's inviting every tom in a 5 mile radius to have at her. Amazing what hormones do. Examine human behavior. OK, back to the point. I would like to see a bright atheist explain scientifically how chemicals could combine by random chance to create life that develops not only the physical characteristics that require 2 entities of opposite sex to procreate, but the behaviors we see that enable it's completion. How about love? Oh, they'll say, that's just a behavior developed to assist reproduction and child rearing. Really? Think about that for a while. How about the appreciation of beauty? Not human physical beauty, but the beauty of this planet we live on. Have you ever seen a dog, cat, cow, or any other animal gaze in rapt wonder at a beautiful sunset?

Ok, let's tie this in to our current state of affairs. Even if you don't believe in God, you have to admit that the Bible is a history of the Jewish people. Amazing how when the Jews were following God's instruction, they were prosperous and at peace. And how every time they got off track, denied God and His ways, they ended up conquered and even carried off into captivity. I think you get the point.

ps: The title of this post comes from the great comedy/science fiction trilogy of Douglas Adams. The first of which "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" was made into a terrible movie. I have seen VERY few movies from books that do the book justice, and that was one of the worst. Anyway, the protagonist is rescued from Earth by a friendly alien just before our planet is to be destroyed to make way for a new interstellar freeway, and spends the rest of his life searching the universe for the answer to "life, the universe, and everything". Highly recommended reading!

NASCAR, THE SUPERBOWL, AND POLITICS

Another example of politicians who have no idea of the big picture: US Rep. Betty McCollum (Dem-Mn)has introduced a bill to ban the military from sponsoring Nascar teams. On the surface, that would seem to make sense considering our budget problems. But apparently she doesn't realize we have an all volunteer service today.
Hello Ms. McCollum - you've got to attract young people to join. News Flash: Young people are interested in exciting, thrilling, dangerous sports. Especially motorsports. Maybe she thinks that money would be better spent recruiting at video arcades at the malls? Or one of our deteriorating cities like Detroit taken over by the Muslims? Maybe she thinks we still have the draft? Maybe she's just not capable of thinking beyond the end of her nose?

Some people were similarly moaning about the cost of the F-16 or FA-18 (I forget now which branch of the service) flyover before the Superbowl. Cited the cost of fuel etc. and claimed it was a waste. Excuse me, those pilots would have been flying those aircraft somewhere anyway. Flying a supersonic, electronic marvel weapons system is not something you do once a month. Those pilots train continually. Since they're going to fly somewhere, why not get some recruiting publicity out of it? Just more short sighted thinking on the part of those entrusted with running our country.

Ms. McCollum and the others who think like her should attend some motorsports races sometime. And observe all those "redneck" fans, including the young ones, who still remove their hats and stand at attention for our National Anthem. And all those "redneck" vets saluting the flag.

WISCONSIN PROTESTS

Wisconsin teachers and government employees are protesting at the capitol and in the streets. While I do not have complete information on the proposed cuts yet, (my internet connection has been down, so I haven't done the research yet) I have seen some facts on TV news.

The average wage of a state employee is over $51,000.
The average wage of a local government employee in Wi. Is over $38,000.
The average private sector wage is also just over $38,000.
The government workers contribute $0 towards their health care and pensions.
Private sector workers pay on average 20% towards lower quality health insurance and the majority are not covered by a pension plan at all.

The state is proposing that employees contribute to the cost of health care and pensions. And to limit the unions collective bargaining power. I assume that means specifically their right to strike.
At this point in time I am not sure about any pay cut, but I'm sure there's at least a pay freeze involved. Let's be perfectly clear here: The pay figures are averages. I doubt the clerk at the DMV or the guy holding the sign at highway construction is making $51k. Wisconsin is a relatively high cost of living state, the wages really don't seem that out of line to me. But the free “Cadillac” insurance and pension plans certainly are. No one WANTS to take a pay cut, but they need to get a dose of reality. Hundreds of thousands of us HAVE already taken major pay cuts and are existing with no health insurance at all or policies that are worthless except for major surgeries, and cancer. Those who haven't had to actually take a cut haven't had raises for the past 3 years, or they've been half the cost of living increase.
The state of Wisconsin is no different than the federal government or any family: they cannot continue to spend more than they take in. And you cannot continue to increase taxes forever. The citizens are already hurting with the huge tax burden we now have.

So my advice to Wisconsin workers? (And Ohio next, apparently) It's bitter medicine, but be glad you have a job at all, especially one as good as you have.

TRUE SOLUTIONS

Good evening my friends,

A conversation with a friend this evening reminds me that I need to reiterate some things about finding true solutions to our problems. And that is that 99% of the time, the real, common sense solution to any given problem lies somewhere in the middle. Somehow we have become radically polarized. On one hand you have the radical left. Most of whom are actually socialists, whether they realize it or not. Many are radical environmentalists, tree huggers, animal rights activists, etc. Then you have the radical right. The Libertarians and anarchists who think there should be no government at all.

Let's take one single issue as an example - jobs. There is more than greed involved in American corporations moving jobs overseas, although greed IS the bottom line. And that is the amount of government regulation involved in producing anything in this country today. Or conducting any business in America today. Take construction for example: need a new building for your business? You'll have to obtain a dozen different permits from a dozen different agencies. Each one can cost from hundreds to thousands of dollars, require engineers to meet a dozen different, and sometimes conflicting, requirements. Inspections by a dozen different inspectors, and on and on. What is the flip side though? Pollution like China - so bad that people are keeling over in the streets. Drinking water poisoning the populace. Unfortunately, due to human nature (see previous post on secular humanism) we MUST have a certain amount of government regulation. We need a military, we need roads, we need police protection. BUT, our government has gone overboard. We need to get back to the middle of the road.

Just wanted you all to know I am not a radical. I try to keep my proposals to fix our problems simple and real. Simple, but not easy for sure. People will suffer individual hardships from the solutions I set forth. But we have no choice, it's do it or the entire country goes bankrupt, and that's going to be one hell of a lot harder on people than not getting a raise for the next few years or taking a cut in your food stamps and rental assistance.

Wake up Washington and state capitals, you've sold our future for many years, and guess what?
The future is now here. Now you have to pay the piper.

More examples of the erosion of free speech and stupidity in our government and society this morning. The ugly:

A Pa. teacher suspended for posting the truth on the internet. Keep in mind no students were named. What did she say that was so nasty she's likely to lose her job? That todays students are whiners and complainers, (why should they have to actually EARN good grades) and half the girls dress like street walkers. How long are we going to put up with these communists running our school systems? How about firing the administrator who demonstrated his/her complete disregard for our Constitution by suspending her????

The bad:
I think you all understand the dire situation the humongous deficit spending has put our country in. Harry Reid must be a total moron, he still doesn't get it. Says cutting the budget by 74 to 100 million (out of 1.4 trillion) is "draconian".

ACLU sues Pt. Pleasant Beach, N.J. for saying the Lord's Prayer before meetings. Says it forces religion upon the populace. The ACLU has been and continues to be one of the largest forces behind the "political correctness" insanity we suffer from today. They jump right in with both barrels firing to attack anything connected to Christianity and defend anything and everything Muslims want. Just wait till they're running the show, and you have to pray to Mecca 5 times a day or get your head cut off. And the first heads to roll will be ACLU members because they champion homosexuality, a sin punishable by death in the Muslim faith.

The good:
Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn DOES get it. Hard hitting speech about the deficit. Recognizes that people are going be hurt by the necessary measures to fix the problems. Said $350 million could be cut immediately by eliminating "waste, stupidity, fraud, and abuse". Tell em Tom!

N.J. Governor Chris Christie hits a homerun (as usual) with his speech in D.C. This guy REALLY gets it and is "gittin er done" in N.J. The only bad part of this is he still insists he will NOT run for president in 2012. This is a real shame, because I don't think any of the usual Republicans being talked about have a chance of winning. Except for Palin, they're all old school politicians. And it's become pretty obvious that no matter how much I, and others, admire Palin's stand on issues, that she has neither the breadth of knowledge nor the depth of intellect to be POTUS.

Now here's a ticket for you: Christie for Pres. and LTC Allan West as his V.P. I'd stand in line overnight to be the first one to vote for them.

WAL-MART FIRINGS

Another perfect example of the lack of common sense so prevalent in America today.

For those of you who didn't catch this on the news: Wal-Mart security people caught a guy shoplifting a laptop and various other things. They had him in the security office awaiting the arrival of police when he pulled a gun and threatened to kill them all. These brave guys jumped him and got the gun away from him. What does Wal-Mart do? Fires them for not following company policy, which says they are supposed to back off and stand down when confronted with any weapon. Excuse me??? They're supposed to just let the guy kill them???? The actual policy makes sense in a lot of scenarios, ie: the guy is in the middle of the store with customers around and the security people are more than an armslength away. However, this was certainly not the case here, and the security personnel were immediately at risk of losing their own lives.
The Wal-Mart executive who made the decision to fire these guys must have gone to the same college as the school administrator who had the spit ball boy arrested, the administrators who expelled the sick child because her mother sent a couple of children's aspirins to school with her, etc. etc. Oh, what am I thinking, our schools are all the same today, turning out virtual idiots who cannot think for themselves by the millions.
Why do we suffer from these no common sense allowed zero-tolerance idiocies? Anyone with half a brain realizes no one can formulate a policy that foresees every possibility. This whole subject reminds me of two things. Something my dad used to tell me when I was a kid. "If you're buddy Jeff jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, would you follow him over just because he did it?" And the Nazi death camp guards who were "just following orders".

Hoping that all of you continue to use the brain God gave you for more than a place to hang your hat. (Another favorite of my dad:-)

I have good news for all of you, especially those in the frozen north. Spring IS on the way. Friday I saw/heard 3 flocks of geese heading north. Sunday morning the summer birds returned to north Fl. We are finally seeing highs in the 70's and lows in the mid to upper 40's. The sun is so warm my face got burned. So hang in there kids, it's gonna get better soon!

Goldman Sachs, who by the way, was one of the largest creators of the financial collapse that precipitated our current economic malaise, had profits fall 38% last year. They paid a $550 million fine to settle charges of misleading investors by deliberate fraud. So what do they do? Triple the salary of CEO Lloyd Blankfein to $2 million and grant him $12.6 million in shares. This same kind of crap has been going on in all kinds of American corporations for years now. SHAREHOLDERS: YOU can fix this kind of crap! Vote the backscratching crooks off the board of directors. (See previous post about interlocking directorates)

Exxon Mobil earned $9 Billion in profits the last quarter of 2010. $30.5 billion for the year! While they drive a spike into the casket of the American economy with sky high energy prices. Been complaining about the price of gas lately? Well bend over farther, because the price of oil/gas trickles down to every single thing we buy. It takes energy to produce and transport goods. While Exxon surely has a right to make a profit on their investments, I ask again, how much money is enough? I would like to see a complete accounting of where they're investing these incredible windfalls. How much are they investing in America, versus "global" businesses? How much did they actually pay in American taxes? Or did their bought politicians stick so many loopholes in the tax code that they didn't pay anything at all?????? We need to demand answers.
