IS IT TIME TO BAN GUN OWNERSHIP?

Another horrible, senseless tragedy in Connecticut this week. This one even worse because of the age and number of victims. They're getting closer together, and worse in scope. What do we, as a society, do to reverse this trend? Where do we look for the answers? Is it finally time to give up our right to keep and bear arms? Or do the answers lie elsewhere? Let's put aside emotional reactions and examine facts.

The first thing we need to do is see if we can determine the root causes for behavior of this type. I am not a psychologist by any means, but I have observed human behavior for 60 years. I've been the unfortunate witness to the results of the "it's all about me" attitude of a sizable portion of our population today. I've watched the driving attitude of the general public deteriorate from common sense and courtesy into "get out of my way or I'll run you off the road" over the years.

So what are the commonalities within the group of perpetrators?
The first, and obvious, one is that most of them exhibited mental instability to some degree or another before they committed their atrocities.
Second, they all blamed society for their problems, not themselves.
And the third, which has NOT been reported in the major media, is that almost every one was, or had very recently been on, anti-depressive medications. See this :

Now we need to delve further into the first two causes. What caused these individuals to develop those attitudes? I submit that if you follow it back, you can blame Dr. Spock. Yes, I'm serious. That's where and when our supposedly modern methods of child rearing started. Let me sum that method up very concisely : Never, ever, swat your kid, that's abuse, and does irreparable harm to their self esteem. Cater to their every wish, and give in to their every demand. Refuse to make them eat any vegetables, but all the junk food they want is okay. When they get in trouble as teenagers, it's never their fault. It's their fathers (or mothers) fault, their friends fault, the schools fault. MY kid can do no wrong. Essentially, we are now raising our second generation of spoiled brats.
Then they reach young adulthood, and find out the world does NOT revolve around them. They can NOT have everything their way. And they can't handle it. They have no coping skills because they always got what they wanted. They get frustrated. They get angry. They want to punish the world for causing their anguish.

But will outlawing "assault" weapons altogether, or high capacity magazines, or even private ownership of handguns, provide at least a reduction in the number and severity of these incidents?
The FACTS say otherwise.
Chicago has arguably the toughest gun laws in the nation. FACT : Chicago has one of the highest murder and shootings rates per 100k population in the country. Google it yourself. Baltimore, another state / city with extremely tough gun laws, is right near the top. Washington D.C. had one of the worst rates until they finally passed concealed carry laws a few years ago, and their rate has fallen steadily since.
FACT : Cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and in most states, marijuana, are all illegal. Does that mean they are not available? Do we not have a sizable drug problem in this country? Breaking and entering, robbery, fraud, are all illegal. Do we not have a huge prison population?
FACT : Similar crimes happen in countries where NO private gun ownership is allowed. China is a perfect example. They just use knives, axes, hammers, bombs, or whatever else comes to their minds.

Just a few hours after the execution of Zheng Minsheng in neighboring Fujian Province,[5] in Leizhou,[6] Guangdong another knife-wielding man named Chen Kangbing, 33 (陈康炳)[7] at Hongfu Primary School wounded 16 students and a teacher.[4] Chen Kangbing had been a teacher at a different primary school in Leizhou;[7] he was sentenced to death by a court in Zhanjiang in June.[8] On April 29 in Taixing,[3] Jiangsu, 47-year-old Xu Yuyuan went to Zhongxin Kindergarten[9] and stabbed 28 students, two teachers and one security guard;[4] most of the Taixing students were 4 years old.[10] On April 30, Wang Yonglai used a hammer to cause head injury to preschool children in Weifang,[3] Shandong, then used gasoline to commit suicide by self-immolation.[4]

An attacker named Wu Huanming (吴环明), 48, killed seven children and two adults and injured 11 other persons with a cleaver at a kindergarten in Hanzhong, Shaanxi on May 12, 2010;[3] early reports were removed from the internet in China, for fear that mass coverage of such violence can provoke copycat attacks.[3][11] The attacker later committed suicide at his house; he was the landlord of the school,[12] Shengshui Temple private kindergarten, and had been involved in an ongoing dispute with the school administrator about when the school would move out of the building.[12]
On May 18, 2010 at Hainan Institute of Science and Technology (海南科技职业学院), a vocational college in Haikou, Hainan, more than 10 men[13] charged into a dormitory wielding knives around 2:30 am;[14] after attacking the security guard and disabling security cameras, 9 students were injured, 1 seriously.[14] The local men attacked the dorm in an act of revenge and retaliation against college students following conflict the previous day at an off-campus food stall in which 4 students were injured, for a total of 13.[15]
August 2010
On 4 August 2010, 26-year-old Fang Jiantang (方建堂) slashed more than 20 children and staff with a 60 cm knife, killing 3 children and 1 teacher, at a kindergarten in Zibo, Shandong province. Of the injured, 3 other children and 4 teachers were taken to the hospital. After being caught Fang confessed to the crime; his motive is not yet known.[16]
August 2011
Eight children, all aged four or five,[17] were hurt in Minhang District, Shanghai when an employee at a child-care centre for migrant workers slashed them with a box-cutter.[18]
September 2011
In September 2011, a young girl and three adults taking their children to nursery school were killed in Gongyi,[19] Henan by 30-year-old Wang Hongbin with an axe.[20] Another child and an adult were seriously wounded but survived.[21] The suspect is a local farmer who is suspected of being mentally ill.[22]

In every state / city that I am aware of, crime rates drop when concealed carry is approved. No, the possible presence of armed resistance may not deter a nutcase from attempting / initiating his crime.  Losing ANY child is not acceptable, but if just one of the on scene school personnel had been trained and armed, the scope of this tragedy may not have been quite as bad. 

And one last thing : I believe it was Solzhenitsyn talking about the USSR who first said "If there is no God, then there is no right and no wrong". The atheists have succeeded in outlawing God from our educational system, our government, and would love to do it in our private lives. Well, that is if you believe in the Christian God. It's okay to celebrate any other god or religious holidays, but don't you dare talk about Jesus Christ. Yeah, yeah, I know. If there is a God, how could He let things like this happen? GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

Just personally witnessed another example of completely asinine government bullshit. In a country where a sizable number of states grant ILLEGAL aliens drivers licenses,  where Democrats raise hell whenever and wherever voter ID laws are proposed, Florida has implemented the most insane law for obtaining or just RENEWING your driver's license.

Florida law requires identification, proof of date of birth, proof of residential address, and proof of social security number (if issued, Chapter 322, Florida Statutes, requires the Department see proof of social security number for the issuance of driver license and identification cards) from all customers before a driver license or identification card can be issued.

The name assigned to the social security number must match the name that will appear on the Florida driver license or identification card. If you have recently changed your name, update your records with the Social Security Administration before you apply for your license or identification card.
Each U.S. citizen renewing or applying for a new driver license or identification card in person after January 1, 2010 must submit: (.....blah, blah, blah)

Note: When necessary, marriage certificates, court orders, or divorce decrees must be provided to tie the name on the primary identification to the name the customer would like to place on the driver license or identification card.


So I'm standing in line waiting to renew my truck registration and listening to the DOT employee tell this 70 year old woman she HAS to provide a CERTIFIED copy of her divorce decree from 30 years ago in order to renew her license. No idea of how to obtain such a thing? Too bad, no license. 

Even though this law only went in effect in 2010, it was just as bad 5 years ago if you needed to get a CDL license in Florida.  First of all, I had no social security card because I had my wallet stolen around 15 yeas ago. I was told I had to go to a social security office and apply for a new card, but they would give me a paper so I didn't have to wait for a new card in the mail. So, half a day for a trip to Gainesville, wait in line, etc. Go back to the DOT office and then she tells me they didn't give me the right paperwork! Back to Gainesille again. I had to get a certified copy of my birth certificate for my retirement, so fortunately I had ordered 3 copies. Apparently my original had deteriorated somewhat over the years and the Illinois Dept. of Vital Records (or whatever it was called) technician traced over some of the letters in my name before making the certified copies. She said it had been altered and was unacceptable. I showed her the UPS mailing envelope that they came in, from the state of Illinois, to the name and address on my Pa. license, and that still wasn't good enough. Showed her every form of ID I had in my wallet. Not good enough. By now, I've got steam coming out of my ears. So very close to losing it and slapping the shit out of the stupid bitch. I'm lucky I didn't get arrested, because I told her "get someone from Tallahassee who can resolve this on the phone before I go postal". 

Back to the present, after listening to that poor womans predicament, I need to go to another part of the courthouse to get a copy of my driving record. Like airport security just to enter your local courthouse nowadays. Stand in line, empty pockets, take belt off, pass through scanner.

OPPOSED TO VOTER ID LAWS? READ THIS!

 A few months ago there was a lot of discussion about Pennsylvania's new Voter ID law. One claim made over and over again by those opposed was that there was no voter fraud to worry about. Really? The truth is the much bigger problem is with electronic voting machine software, which can be easily hacked. The following is only the tip of the iceberg, to open your eyes. Reports of machines recording Romney votes as Obama votes are piling up from all over the country. Raising the question, of course, did Obama really win, or was the election stolen?
 
"59 different Philadelphia voting divisions in which Mitt Romney received zero votes compared to Obama’s 19,605. And the Cleveland precinct in which Obama beat Romney 542 to 0. Oh boy, here we go. "We the People" have just given a huge boost to Obama's egomania. He thinks he's invincible now. Just happened to catch a news clip of him answering questions about his possible nomination (reward for being his stooge) of Susan Rice for Secretary of State. If you thought he trampled the Constitution with his end-arounds of Congress, governing by executive order in his first term, just watch what happens over the next four years.

"Anyone who has a problem with Ambassador Rice, or my nomination of her, if I decide to do so, will have to answer to me."

And the arrogant way he delivered that message made me want to puke. "We the People" have created a monster, don't be surprised when it bites you.

I have to admit, I am puzzled why some friends who I know have read some of this blog would still vote for Obama. Do you not think that he is a socialist / communist, even after ramming socialized medicine down our throats? Even after talking about "redistribution of wealth"? Overseeing government takeover of a large portion of the auto industry? Or do you think that socialism is a desirable way of governance?

I really hate to keep repeating myself, but I find that once again I must present concrete evidence that is not the case. It didn't work in the USSR, doesn't work in Cuba, (witness the hundreds of thousands of Cubans here in Florida who risked their lives to ESCAPE that way of life) didn't work in China until they opened their economy to private enterprise, and it isn't working in Europe! The European countries are ALL on the verge of bankruptcy, with the U.S. to follow very shortly if we don't get the runaway spending solved IN A HURRY. Just how much are YOU personally willing to sacrifice to provide for those who are not as well off as you are financially? When the government takes everything you own and gives you a 1 bedroom apartment to live in? Takes your cars, motorcycles, boats, and gives you a Yugo in return? How hard, and how many hours are YOU willing to work to get nothing more than the family down the street whose main occupation is producing more human beings to be fed, clothed, housed, and taken care of? How many years are YOU willing to study until your brain is fried to become a doctor, only to receive a 2 bedroom apartment instead of 1?

Yeah, I know, I'm a total whack job and it'll never happen here. I really hope you are proven right.

THE SMOKING GUN OF BENGHAZI?

As I said before, the reason for denial of any support to our men in Benghazi continues to puzzle me. Even this doesn't make any logical sense on the surface, since I doubt the revelation detailed here would make one bit of a difference to 99% of Obama voters. But more and more news trickles out about what was actually going on in our "diplomatic mission" in Benghazi.

We knew Stevens was the point man for U.S. support of the Syrian rebels, coordinating arms sales through Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Ah, but now we find out he was also instrumental in recruiting Jihadi's from North Africa to fight in Syria. Yes, that's right. Al-Qaida affiliated groups, receiving U.S. arms and funding.  Also we learn that the largest faction we backed with direct arms and funding in Libya, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Force, is also Al-Qaida backed. As are three groups we have been helping in Syria - Jundal al-Sham, Jundal al-Islam, and Jundal Ansar al-Allah.

So, let's look at the current state of affairs in the middle east as a direct result of Obama's foreign policy. Muslim Brotherhood (which is almost as bad as Al-Qaida) in control (and instituting Sharia and killing Coptic Christians) in Egypt. Radical Islamists in control of Libya. Syria about to fall to the same. Why is the U.S. involved in any of this anyway? These countries aren't even large oil producers. Again I ask though, if this had come out before the election, how many Obama voters would have given a damn????

So, the real question is who is pulling Obama's strings? Dollars to doughnuts it's the same people who funded his education and put him in the Senate and White House.

IS THE U.N.'S AGENDA 21 THE END OF PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS?

Ever heard of Agenda 21? I'll bet most of you haven't. Briefly, it's the United Nations comprehensive plan for "sustainable development". The U.S. has already signed on to this by way of executive order, effectively making an end run around Congress. Some American cities are already implementing parts of it, including Gainesville, Fl.

So ok, what's the problem? We've got over 6 billion humans on the planet, and that is increasing daily. If we don't get the environmental pollution / degradation under control, eventually we'll poison ourselves into extinction. That is a fact, imagine when there are 12 billion of us here, 24 billion. So we (the human race) should have a plan to prevent that happening. Sounds good so far, right?

Well how about if the U.N.'s plan includes the elimination of private property ownership? That the Earth should be owned and managed by a single entity for the good of all mankind? Are you ready for this or do you think there are other ways of accomplishing the main goal, i.e. the continuation of the human race?

HURRICANE SANDY, QUANTUM MECHANICS, AND GOD

Good morning friends! I hope you have all come through the storm safely!

This post is way off topic, but I want to share it with as many people as I can. It's a minor little story about the power of nature, the power and goodness of God, minor miracles, and a hurricane.

A bit of background first. Those who know me know that I am certainly not what people think of when they think about "Christians". I smoke, swear, and drink. And I too, have had my fill of "holier than thou" Christians, the "if you don't believe this way", "if you don't believe that way", "if you don't do this or do that, you're going to Hell"  people. In fact, I was an atheist until I was around 28 or 29 years old. On the surface, the whole "God / Bible" story is pretty unbelievable to a questioning mind. Especially when you've seen a lot of "how could a good God allow such terrible things to happen" stuff.  To make a really long story short, let's just say I questioned, I looked, and I had my eyes opened. The one thing many mainstream churches and Christians forget is that when the disciples asked Jesus to describe the Father, He gave them a three word answer. He didn't say He's a jealous God, a vindictive God, a judgmental God. He said "God is Love".

Quantum physics (the basics of which have been proven in the laboratory) says that if we believed with every atom in our body that we could walk through a brick wall, we could do it. It IS physically possible. 2000 years ago Jesus told us over and over all we have to do is believe, and our prayers will be answered. He walked on water, turned water to wine, raised people from the dead. Faith is THE key to everything. And I have learned to pray God's Word. What He says in the Bible, He will not fail to do. So I pray for His hedge of protection around me. I pray that He sends angels to watch over me. And He never fails me. 

Yeah, yeah, you Dumb Farmer, we want to hear about the storm! You all know the forecasts, largest / meanest storm ever recorded. 60 to 80 mph winds a thousand miles from the eye, etc. And I had a 250 mile trip home from northwest Pa. with an empty trailer. I've seen empty trailers blown over, even loaded trucks blown over from the Santa Ana's in Calif. Seen pictures of loaded trucks blown over while sitting still. Needless to say, I wasn't looking forward to that trip, but I'd told the man Friday that I'd run for him, so run it I did. Well, the wind changed directions, and was a direct tailwind for the longest leg of the journey, I couldn't even tell it was blowing except for seeing the trees. When I turned south, it changed again-tailwind. Got buffeted a little bit from just north of Harrisburg to Elizabethtown, but not nearly as bad as some thunderstorms I've been in. Of course, that COULD have just been coincidence.
 Heard on the radio on the way home in the car that over 4k homes were without electric in Perry county already. I am a full time RV'er. I live in a fifth wheel camper. You know mobile homes and campers are the first to go in hurricanes and tornadoes. As I came up the driveway, I envisioned an angel sitting on the roof of my camper. No, I didn't say I SAW an angel, I just thought it in my mind. Had to walk bent over to get from the car to the camper the wind was blowing so hard. I was expecting to get rocked all night, as has happened in many thunderstorms. As I sit here, I swear this is true - that camper never moved all night. I could hear the wind howling, when I went out for a smoke I could hardly stand up, but this camper was as solid as a rock!  I didn't feel a thing. No movement. And the electric never went off for more than a second or so, then came right back on. The wind is still gusting 30-40 mph here on this ridgetop this morning, and I don't feel a thing. Yep, COULD have just been the direction the wind was blowing. You will form your own opinion, but I know.

LIBYA, THE TRUTH IS STARTING TO COME OUT

Finally, finally, the truth of the fiasco in Libya is starting to come out in the mainstream news. All of the things being reported on radio news today have been known for several weeks, why has it taken them so long to report the WHOLE truth? Or are MSNBC, CNN, and the rest of them reporting it even now? Or still trying to hide the facts until after the election????

In case you've been well insulated from the world, here's a quick rundown. Ambassador Stevens AND the security chief had been reporting the deteriorating situation and requesting increased forces for months before the attack. What was the administrations response? They PULLED OUT a security detachment that had been assigned to the embassy, over the strident protestations of the head of that detachment (a 20 plus year Special Forces colonel). The very day of the attack, Stevens had cabled another request detailing the need for more boots on the ground.

Now that's not the worst of it folks. If any of you reading this are vets, or have a family member or friend in the service, you're going to have steam coming out your ears when you hear this:
The former Seals serving as embassy security people were DENIED any support during the attack 3 times! We had air assets available that could have been on scene within 30 minutes of the first call for help. DENIED. We had Hellfire armed drones that could have been on site in less than 30 minutes. DENIED. We had boots on the ground that could have been there within an hour. DENIED.

This is not the first time, people. The current ROE in Afghanistan denies artillery and air support to our guys if it's needed anywhere near buildings where a civilian MIGHT be killed. The politically correct bastards in Washington have decided to sacrifice our troops to avoid affronting anyone.

One thing that every American Soldier and Marine has drilled into him is : You DON'T leave ANYONE  on the battlefield. You DO NOT EVER, ever, leave a wounded buddy. You don't leave his body. Everyone comes home, one way or another.

So now they try and put the spin on it. We didn't know what was happening, we didn't have enough intel. BULLSHIT, they were watching satellite and drone video in the White House situation room. 

I am so angry at these scum in D.C. I can hardly write this. ANYONE involved in the decision to deny support should be tried for treason, and EXECUTED by firing squad!!!

MOST CRITICAL TIME IN HISTORY

One month till the election. In one month, the most critical point in the 236 year history of the United States of America since the Civil War is going to take place. As I've said before, this election will determine if we continue to exist as the most successful free society in the history of the world, or go down in the flames of bankruptcy.

For my longtime readers, I apologize for the repetition but because this election is so important, I am going to repeat some salient points.

1.  We are 16 trillion dollars in debt already. Obama and the Democrats have added 1.2 to 1.4 trillion to the deficit each year for the past 4 years. U.S. debt instruments (treasury bonds) have been downgraded once already. This debt is the simple and unavoidable result of socialist programs starting with Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society", that have continually expanded year after year.


2. Socialism / Communism does not work. It hasn't worked anywhere in the world it has been tried. It didn't work in the USSR, doesn't work in Cuba, didn't work in China until they opened up to private enterprise, and look at them now. It drives countries into bankruptcy. Guess what? When that happens, we are ALL poor as dirt. The U.S. dollar will be next to worthless. Want to pay $20 for a loaf of bread? It's not far off if we don't immediately get government spending under control.

3. Obama was raised by American Communist Party members. (Do the research yourself -google Obama and Frank Marshall) He promised to "fundamentally change America". Can it be any clearer than that? He has no intention of doing anything about the deficit, that's part of the plan. Drive the country into defaulting on it's loans, and the government will have to take over everything.

No, I don't think Romney was the best choice the Republicans could have made, but ANYONE who is not a communist is a better choice. It is going to take bitter medicine to fix the situation we've put ourselves into. Why? Because we're going to have to change the "welfare mentality" we've created in a very sizable portion of the population. The idea that it's the governments job to feed, clothe, house, and provide free medical care.

We need people in Washington who are willing to make the difficult choices needed. People who are more concerned with the welfare of their country than increasing their own wealth and power. The Senate and House races are just as important as the Presidential election. Please, please, research your choices and vote wisely.

VOTER ID - THE TRUTH

Voter ID laws have been at the forefront of the news again, especially here in Pennsylvania, where a judge has just delayed implementation until after the election. Ok, put away your emotions and preconceived opinions smuggled into your head by the news media, and lets examine the facts.

1. The Constitution grants the right to vote to legal CITIZENS of this country. That's correct, citizens only. Citizen does not mean resident. There are legal and illegal residents of this country that are NOT legally allowed to vote.

2. The specificity in the Constitution therefore imposes a duty to insure that only citizens vote.

3. One argument put forward by those opposed to voter ID laws is that there is no voting fraud now, so such laws are superfluous. Hmmm, recall the Minnesota Senatorial race in the last election where Al Franken was declared the winner, after a recount, by less than 300 votes? And over a year later, when an official investigation revealed over 3k votes by dead people and convicted felons, a judge ruled it was too late to change since Franken had already been sworn in and serving for a year. Al Franken was one of the pivotal votes that passed Obamacare.

4. Opponents argue ID laws would disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of legal voters. Really? How many people do YOU know who have absolutely no way of identifying themselves? The only group I can think of OTHER THAN ILLEGAL ALIENS who might have a sizable number of those would be the Amish, and I suspect the majority of them have some means of identification.

5. You have to prove you are who you say you are to obtain driver's licenses, get loans, fly on an airplane, even open a checking or savings account at a bank. If you are detained by the police for anything, and can't show identification, your going in the tank until they identify you.


So I ask you, why would ANYONE be opposed to voter ID laws? Obviously for the same reason they have refused to do anything serious about the Mexican border problem. Because the Democrats want the illegals here and they want them voting, because they'll vote Democratic, because that's where all their assistance money comes from.

And speaking of illegal aliens, according to 2010 study, they cost the U.S. taxpayer a staggering $113 billion dollars per year. That's $1,117 PER citizen household! 30% of federal prison inmates are illegal aliens, and they're not in there because their illegal aliens, they're in because they committed serious felonies.

I know several of my friends are staunch Democrats, and I invite ANYONE to present rebuttal via the comments.

COMPASSION VS REALITY

Well, the election is just around the corner now. And the spin goes on from both sides. Disgusting when you actually know whats going on. Whatever happened to just reporting the news? One prime example is Romney's comment about not worrying about the 47% of our population who paid no income tax last year and are receiving some form of government assistance. If you watch the entire video yourself, it's obvious he meant he can't worry about their VOTES, because they're already lost to him. No matter what he says, no matter what programs he proposes, they're not going to vote for him anyway. He goes on to say he has to worry about the 5 to 10% of undecided independents. Of course the liberal socialists in the mainstream media are telling everyone he doesn't care about those people and their situations in life.

On another subject, I'd like to discuss the difference between being compassionate and being realistic for some of my Democratic leaning friends. Yes, it would be real nice if we could give free healthcare to everyone, free college tuition to all who qualify, free food, housing, and cell phones to everyone. Where do I sign up? And we can do that, just like the European countries who are all now on the verge of bankruptcy, at least 3 of which have received international bailouts so far. You see, the problem is we can't afford it. That amount of wealth just isn't there. The government could take 100% of the income of the "rich" and it wouldn't even pay for the healthcare. That's right, 100% of the income of everyone making over 250k / year wouldn't even pay for national healthcare, let alone the rest of it. And do any of you remember what happened to Britain back in the 80's and early 90's when they decided to tax the daylights out of the rich? At rates up to 90% of their income? They left! They just up and left the country, taking their money and tax revenue with them. Our federal Treasury securities have already been downgraded once. Why? Because of the massive amount of debt already accrued from social giveaway programs since Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society".

Ok, I admit there is one way to accomplish free everything for all. When we all work for the government. When the government gives us all, including doctors, a 1 bedroom apartment for their entire extended families. Gives us chits to use at the local grocery store. Sorry about your car and cellphone, you'll have to ride the mass transit and remember how to write letters. They're free, after all. I suggest you do some research on life in the former Soviet Union. That didn't work either.

I repeat it again SOCIALISM / COMMUNISM just does not work in the long term. In general, there is no incentive to work, to innovate, to excel. No, Mitt Romney certainly wasn't the best candidate the Republicans could have chosen. But he's way better than our current course, which is going to collapse the country if continued. Again I remind you though - the President has limited powers, Congress is just as important, if not more so.  Please vote wisely.

SPEECHES, SMEECHES

Much of what I mention here will be familiar to my regular readers. It is prompted by an ongoing comment discussion on a Facebook post by one of my younger friends. Speaking of which, makes me realize that almost all of my friends are younger than I am. Not to mention how grey that hair the barber cut off this morning looked. Ah well, hopefully I've learned a few things along the way.

This post may seem a bit scattered because I'm going to address issues brought up in the discussion.
So, I'll talk about the role of labor unions in our history first. Unions were first formed back in the days of the "Robber Barons". The late 1800's and early 1900's, when a few super rich families controlled the majority of manufacturing and banking. These families had incredible wealth, while the people working in their factories couldn't even put shoes on their kids feet working 12 hours a day. Unions were the best thing that had ever happened for the working man, being a large part of what created our comfortable "middle class". HOWEVER, by the 90's, unions had succumbed to greed to the extent that they were putting the companies they worked for out of business. One by one, plants closed because they could not afford the cost of labor. As plants closed, unions collapsed. Now, basically, we are back to the days of the Robber Barons again. The middle class working family has seen it's true wealth decline steadily for the last 25 years or so, particularly the last 5 to 10. The angst against unions today is mostly about the public sector (that's government employee's) unions, who, through their continuing support of Democratic candidates with huge campaign contributions, have managed to put the average taxpayer on the verge of bankruptcy. As usually is the case, the true solution lies in the middle. The unions need to understand that if the company doesn't make a profit, they don't have a job for very long, and if the teachers, department of transportation, etc. public sector unions bankrupt cities and states, they don't have a job either.

And on to the convention speeches. My advice is don't pay much attention to what politicians of either party say, look at their voting records and the results of their programs. They all say what they think people want to hear in order to get elected, then do whatever they want (usually greasing the palms of their donors) once they're in office. That said, let's look at the most basic difference between todays Democratic and Republican parties. The Democratic Party believes the more  control government has over society, the better off the people will be.  The Republicans believe just the opposite, that the less government intrudes on the everyday life of citizens and businesses the better off people are. Forget the gay marriage flap, the abortion issue, the global warming debate. Why? Because if the country goes bankrupt, none of that stuff is going to matter. And please understand, who is in Congress is every bit as important as who is in the White House. There is only so much a president can do.

The fault for our current financial predicament (16 TRILLION dollars in debt) is shared by both parties. HOWEVER, our current president has increased the debt at 3 times the rate of any previous president in our history. Why? To continue to buy votes from those benefiting from receiving government checks in the mail. The Democrats have said for years that we need to be more like Europe. Well, look at Europe today. Hello kids, socialism DOES NOT WORK LONGTERM. Almost every European country has followed the path the we have been on for the last 25 years, and look where it has gotten them. ALL on the verge of bankruptcy. Sure, a lot of you have probably heard about Greece and the international bailouts to keep them from collapsing, but did you also know Spain, Italy, Ireland, and now even Germany, are also on the brink of collapse? Why? Because they have all created two generations of people who think it is the government's job to feed, clothe, house, educate, and provide free medical care for everyone. Folks, IT DOESN'T WORK FOR VERY LONG. The greater the percentage of population taking government handouts instead of working, the fewer workers there are to create the wealth to provide those services. As taxes rise, and inflation rises because the government keeps printing more dollars (with nothing backing them) to pay that debt, the true income of the working family shrinks. When the government keeps borrowing to keep providing those services, eventually no banks or countries will lend them more when it becomes evident they no longer have the means to repay that debt.

Yes, Romney and the rest of the old school Republican bigwigs have their faults, but at least they are (or SAY they are) willing to do what it is going to take to keep our country from going bankrupt.

Oh, and since most of you in the discussion are involved in racing one way or another, think about this : Remember the CPSC ban on sales of bikes and atv's 90cc and under? Keep voting Democrat's in and we'll all be riding electric bikes.

A LESSON ON HOW TO MANIPULATE THE NEWS

     Remember I say "Question everything, believe nothing until proven"? I just spent over an hour trying to find actual facts about the reported Chick-Fil-A discrimination lawsuits. I'm sure someone who really knows how to use the search engines, or someone with access to law databases, would do a better job, but all I came up with were reports of the suits being filed, and every single one from a pro gay publication or writer of one kind or another.

     Without knowing the outcomes of the suits, here's what I did learn.
1. Chick-Fil-A is at least partially a franchise operation. I don't know how many total stores they have but I do know 220 are franchisee owned / operated. The franchisor can only directly control certain things. They are not involved in the day to day operations of the stores.
2. One report mentioned a dozen lawsuits over the years. I challenge you to find any other similar sized corporation that has been sued by employees less. Remember, suing is viewed as a way to get rich by half the people today?
2. Nowhere in the reports did anyone mention if the locations the employees worked at were company stores or franchised stores. From comments by several of the litigates it would appear that at least 2 of them were franchise operations.

     I did learn that they investigate the lifestyles  (now known as vetting) of their potential franchisees to insure that they conform to the values the chain believes in. I ask you this : if you had a billion dollar a year operation, run according to the values you cherish, wouldn't you make sure that the people you partner with share those same values? Believe me, I saw this firsthand with Harley. Any dealer who was arrested for drugs or other felonies had his franchise terminated. Think Chick-Fil-A wants to see a story in the news about after hours orgies at one of their stores?

     This mirrors the Trayvon Martin case, remember I said wait till all the facts come out? Once again we see how the news can be manipulated to favor either side of an issue. I doubt I will change anyone's opinion about Chick-Fil-A. What I would like to accomplish is :
1. To get people to think before believing every thing they read and hear.
2. To understand Chick-Fil-A has a right to run their business according to their standards as long as they don't break any laws doing it.

If you don't like what they stand for, don't eat there, but why try and put the whole company out of business? Wasn't it the liberals and especially the gay liberals who espoused "tolerance, tolerance, tolerance"? Oh, I see that's only tolerance for THEIR lifestyle.

CHICK-FIL-A : MY TWO CENTS

     Hello friends, it's been quite a while. Hope you missed me :-) Finally got some time to put the brain in gear. I have to weigh in on the whole Chick-Fil-A fiasco, because it is so indicative of where our society is today. This will be a rehash for some of you I've been having ongoing discussions with, but hopefully, I'll add enough new things to keep your attention from wandering.

     Why is this situation such a bellwether of the USA today? First and foremost, it is a continuation of the attacks on ANYTHING having to do with God. There have always been atheists, but until the last 25 or 30 years they never bothered anyone. They just didn't believe in a creator. No problem. But now it's a totally different story. They're not content to just not believe, they want to remove every single mention of God or Christianity from the entire country. The ACLU foams at the mouth every time someone finds a statue in the middle of the desert that honors God. A statue you had to drive 50 miles on a dirt road to see.

     Chick-Fil-A is a perfect example. These people went about running their business according to their beliefs for 60 plus years, not bothering anyone except those who would have liked their chicken on a Sunday. They don't have "honk if you love Jesus" or "repent or go to hell" signs at their stores,  make prospective employees state that they are Christians, or refuse to serve you if you have a "I worship Satan" tattoo on your forehead. Indeed, they've never made a big deal out of the fact that they are a Christian owned and run business. It only became a big deal when militant gay/lesbian/transgender groups noticed them. Then the liberal mainstream media reporters went on the attack. All they have ever done is respond to reporters questions about their beliefs honestly. Yes, they donate money to Christian groups that, among other things, oppose gay marriage. So don't gays/lesbians donate to groups that promote their agenda?

     Just as they have every right to run their business as they wish, so do you have the right not to patronize their establishments. But quit attacking them for conducting their lives and business according to their principles. They never bothered you, so what's YOUR problem?

     Answer me this : why haven't there been any outcries about Muslim owned businesses? A religion who imposes the death penalty for homosexuality. A religion who puts women back in the middle ages? A religion who beheads you if you don't believe in their version of God and bow to Mecca five times a day????? Oh, stupid me, I already know that answer. It's not politically correct.

     Quite frankly, I could care less what anyone does in their bedroom. But I surely don't want to see two men in uniform kissing. Or on the street either, for that matter. You don't have to throw it in everyone's face because you are gay.

     Here's the bottom line : whether you believe in God or not, most religions espouse behavior that is advantageous to societies, i.e. killing is wrong, stealing is wrong, treat others as you would like to be treated, etc. I invite you to look back at what living was like in this country 30, 40, 50 years ago when the majority of the population went to church Sunday mornings. No one ever locked their houses, let alone their cars. People didn't regularly try and run you off the road if you happened to be driving a bit slower than they wanted to go. Mass murderers were extremely  few and far between. There was courtesy and respect amongst the majority of people.

     Are we better off today?

WHAT DOES the DHS NEED with 450 Million ROUNDS OF HOLLOW POINT AMMO?

Could someone please tell me just what the Dept. of Homeland Security needs 450 million rounds of hollow point ammo for????? Considering that practice firing is normally done with far less expensive full metal jacket rounds? Considering that's more than one round for every man, woman, and child in this country? Considering that's probably 1,000 or more clips per armed DHS agent? Can you answer that for me?

Remember Obama's proposed National Police Force? Do you know about the recently signed National Defense Authorization Act that makes it supposedly legal for the American military to detain American citizens, on American soil, indefinitely, just on suspicion of terrorist activities? Remember Janet Napolitano's letter to law enforcement agencies across the country naming "disaffected veterans" as potential terrorists? Are you aware of the new law just signed by Obama last week that makes it illegal to protest anywhere near where the Secret Service is providing protection to anyone? Outlawing YOUR Constitutional First Amendment right to address YOUR politicians? Of course the whack job Kansas so called "church" is still allowed to protest at the funerals of our soldiers who have paid the ultimate price for our "freedom"?????

Folks, I know you are probably tired of hearing it, but this guy is laying the groundwork to "fundamentally change America" into a socialist dictatorship one slice at a time. Four more years of his changes and you won't recognize the country you grew up in. If he has his way, in four more years you can forget about voting. Oh, you'll be able to vote, but it won't matter one bit.That's already in the pipeline : a contract has just been let for a foreign data company to count votes in American elections. Of course this company is owned by Obama's largest backer, George Soros.

So once again I challenge you : be part of the solution, because if you do nothing, you are part of the problem. That means not only planning on voting yourself, but educating everyone you know ESPECIALLY LIBERALS who don't have a clue to what's really happening. A caveat : Have your facts and ducks in a row before you attempt to change a liberal's mind. So many are truly unaware of much happening outside of their own immediate lives. They vote Democrat or Republican because their families have always done so, or because they've been brainwashed by our teachers and professors. It can be a long and difficult journey to change a liberals mind, I've often said you can shove evidence down their throats till it comes out the soles of their feet and they still will refuse to believe the truth. I have had instances where someone has eventually agreed with me on every point, but at the end says "I don't care I still think ......"(substitute whatever the subject is) Then ask them (GENTLY, not confrontationally)  "what is more important to the world, what you think or feel, or the TRUTH?"The idea is not to pi** them off, but to get them to analyze the facts from a different perspective and come to the proper conclusions.

So, get to work people, we can change things, one mind at a time.

MILITARY INSANITY

See the quote at the top of this blog home page. Now you can add our military to our government. If this doesn't make you angry enough to spit nails, you're probably in the 50% of our population legally medicated into zombieland. The political correctness bullsh** has gotten so bad in our military that not only do we allow a Muslim doctor with known jihadist sympathies to remain in the Army until he massacres soldiers at Fort Hood, allow open homosexuality, (have you seen the pic of two Marines in uniform kissing upon the return of one from Afghanistan? - one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen) but now WE PROSECUTE OUR SOLDIERS FOR DEFENDING THEIR OWN LIVES FROM  TERRORISTS!

Yes, you read that right. Not only prosecute them, but deny them due process of law, hiding exculpatory evidence from the court and refusing to share that evidence with the defense. 1st Lt. Michael Behenna has already spent 3 years in Ft. Leavenworth for shooting a terrorist who was trying to grab his sidearm. His case has finally made it to military's equivalent of the Supreme Court. This is certainly not the first case of this kind. I won't rehash details here, you can easily find these stories with a Google or Yahoo search, but remember the prosecution of the Seals who captured the terrorist responsible for the beheading and hanging of American soldiers bodies in public in Iraq because the guy had a bruise on his face?  How about the way they cashiered Lt. Col. Allen West out of the Army because he fired a round past the head of an uncooperative insurgent group leader they were questioning?
How did these morons who would pervert any sense of justice for a soldier defending his life just so they can win their case, become Army lawyers? Why is it that for the majority of individuals today, the more formal education they have the less common sense they have?

Are we still able to save this country?

TRAYVON MARTIN : FINALLY THE TRUTH STARTS TO COME OUT

Once again the liberal news media has convicted someone, not only without a trial, but without even investigating the story. In private conversations in the first day or two after the news hit, I cautioned people to withhold opinion until the whole story came out. Yes, as first reported, Zimmerman appears to be a complete a**hole who should be behind bars. What gave me pause (besides plenty of previous experience with media distortion of news, starting with Vietnam) was that he wasn't immediately arrested.

So now the whole story starts to come out. Zimmerman did get out of his vehicle and confront Martin, asking him what he was doing there. Apparently Martin took offense to being asked (and I understand that, I'd be pi**ed too at being accused of being up to no good just because I happened to be black in a white neighborhood). Whatever words were exchanged, the truth, verified by an eyewitness, a second 911 call, and a bleeding Zimmerman, is that after Zimmerman turned and started back to his car, Martin attacked him from behind, and had him on the ground beating the he** out of him.

As I said in the last post : question everything, believe nothing until proven. Especially from our so called "news" outlets.

(ALMOST) UNBELIEVABLE GOVT. INTIMIDATION OF THE NEWS MEDIA

My friends, how many of you still think there's no Obama based conspiracy going on? How many of you mentally rolled your eyeballs when I reported months ago that Obama's "birth certificate" AND draft card were forged? Truthfully, I did when I first started hearing the rumors. I tend to the "question everything, believe nothing until proved" way of thinking.

For those of you who do not follow conservative news outlets on the web, you've probably never heard about Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio's criminal investigation of Obama's eligibility for the office of President. Let me throw out the latest developments and see if you still feel that way.

Arpaio's posse (a very poor choice of name for his investigative task force, in my opinion) has obtained "legally actionable" evidence that both Obama's birth certificate and Selective Service registration card are forgeries. Not only that, but airline passenger records into Hawaii for the week of Obama's birth are mysteriously missing.

Have you heard one single word about this on any TV news, including Fox? How about talk radio? I didn't think so. Now we are finally learning why. Turns out every news outlet in the country has been threatened with FTC and FCC investigations if they report on this. News commentators have been threatened with losing their jobs. One, Andrew Breitbart, dropped dead of a heart attack at 43 the night before he was going to release evidence videos revealing Obama's connections to the Communist Party of the U.S. Not surprisingly, the editor who took over now refuses to print anything about Obama's eligibility or communist connections. Articles written on the subject on internet news sites have disappeared within a day of being posted. As far as I know, there are only 2 major web news outlets still reporting on this subject : World Net Daily (WND) and the Drudge Report. Better check them out to verify what I'm saying before Obama figures out a way to intimidate them also.

I'd like to say "God help us all", but somehow I doubt He'll be giving us much help, since we've spent the last 30 years kicking Him out of our country.

END OF ANY KIND OF PRIVACY AT ALL COMING 09/2013

I wish I could say "good morning", but the news has been pretty darn depressing lately. The latest on Big Brother government is really scary. Wired and the Salt Lake City newspapers have broken the story on the NSA's (that's National Security Administration for those of you who lead an insulated life) huge new data storage facility in Utah. This top secret, hardened bunker, heavy security site is going to store EVERY piece of data that traverses the Internet including private emails, every cell phone conversation, every land line communication, every financial transaction (every time you use a debit card or ATM)  IN THE WORLD starting in Sept. of next year. Not only that, they have built the worlds fastest supercomputer in Oak Ridge, Tn. that is capable of breaking 256 byte public key encryption. There will be not one single thing that the government will not be able to find out about every single citizen.

I know this sounds like one of those things you think "yeah right, anybody can write anything on the 'Net" but I'm telling you this is for real. I've seen the Wired report - outed by NSA whistleblowers, and the newspaper articles. As I've said before, I used to mentally roll my eyeballs back when anyone would start talking conspiracy theories. I'm not sure at all now. Let's examine just a few things that are happening right now. 
1. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has incontestable PROOF that not only is Obama's birth certificate forged, but also his selective service registration card. (How many of you rolled eyeballs when I reported that a year ago?) Of course, the liberal main stream media has ignored this totally. Even Fox, for some unknown reason. O'Reilly said he "doesn't have time for that".
2. Hillary Clinton has committed the U.S. to the UN gun treaty, which bans private ownership of ALL weapons. Yes, this would have to pass Congress, but don't bet against another end run from Obama.
3. Obama just signed another executive order which sets the legality for him to declare martial law.
4. Don't forget Obama promised to "fundamentally change America" in an '08 campaign speech.
 
Now this NSA news comes out. Once this is up and running, it pretty much makes any opposition to a government takeover impossible. It will be impossible to coordinate any kind of resistance beyond those you can talk to face to face. Smoke signals maybe.


I know it all seems very far fetched, but I predict if the average American continues with their head in the sand, we are going to wake up one day soon and find it's a done deal. Then it's going to be too late.

THE HUGE GROWTH IN GOVERNMENT

How much do you earn? $123 thousand a year? That's what the AVERAGE federal government salary is today. And you all know how good the benefits are. I know ya'll are probably tired of hearing me harp about big government / socialism, but here are a few statistics that should make you sit up and think.

In the last 10 years, private sector employment rose only 1 %. That's right, a piddling 1%. Government employment however, rose an astonishing 16%.

The Transportation Dept. has 1690 employees earning over $170k. Defense 10,100 making more than $150 k. Those are the only two I have figures for, extrapolate that to the rest of the alphabet agencies.

Getting angry enough to get involved in our political process yet? If not, here's one more to think about. Government employees now constitute 16% of the entire workforce. Add their spouses and now you're looking at 32% of the electorate. Do you think they are ever going to vote for anyone advocating smaller government? How about the 47% that are getting some kind of government check or assistance every month? Almost every European country is on the verge of bankruptcy - Greece, Spain, Portugal and others already requiring international bailouts. How long do you think we can continue this?

Once again : We are in the single most critical time in the history of America since the Civil War.
Be part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

ANOTHER NAIL IN THE COFFIN OF SMALL BUSINESS

One more perfect example of how government regulation kills business, and therefore jobs. Obama / Holder's Justice Department issued  (that's right, these huge bureaucracies like the TSA, EPA, Justice Dept. FHTSA, and on and on are now in the business of making law, rather than Congress) requiring every public swimming pool to install wheelchair capable lifts under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are not talking about just your commutity association pool. Every motel, hotel, and campground in the country falls under this law.

Next to housing and construction, the tourist / travel trade is the hardest hit industry in this economy. Motels are mostly empty and campgrounds are half full if they're lucky. This is the third year of this, now the government tells them they have to spend an estimated average of $5,000 to $8,000 to install this lift. Hope you don't really enjoy swimming, because I predict a whole lot of closed pools.

Why would Justice do this? How many wheelchair bound people even want to get in a swimming pool? They surely aren't going to do it with no friends or family around to keep them from drowning. People who could help them in and out if they really wanted to "swim". I'll tell you why. Because some handicapped man or woman with a chip on their shoulder filed a lawsuit.

I recall reading back 10 years or so ago that the estimated cost of lawsuit protection added 20% to the cost of every single product you buy. My guess is that now, in 2012, that cost plus the cost of meeting every government regulation that business is saddled with today approaches 35 to 40% of the cost of the goods. People, the cost of labor is only a small part of why manufacturers have moved their production plants overseas. The cost of our government and legal system is a larger factor.

LAND OF THE FREE, HOME OF THE BRAVE?

Still think this is a free country? Think it just can't happen here? Here's how it's already happened. Slowly, very slowly, they take one freedom at a time. And that becomes the new "norm". As I said before, helmet laws, seat belt laws, now hate crime/speech laws, gun control laws, red light cameras, face recognition software, the government monitoring talk radio and the internet - labeling "disaffected veterans" and anyone who buys food in bulk or pays cash for goods a potential domestic terrorist. The EPA seizes private property, threatens fines of thousands per day. Border Patrol agents arrested,  convicted, and jailed for violating the "rights" of illegal drug smugglers. New Hampshire police arresting and confiscating all the guns of a man who shot into the ground to keep a burgler from running off before the police arrived. I could go on for pages citing examples. There are so many laws and regulations on the books today that experts say that every single citizen - no matter how upstanding - has or does break some law. Obama consistently circumvents the Constitution with his "czars", has stated it's too bad he can't do away with Congress, rewards his political backers with huge government loans, and continues to drive us closer and closer to bankruptcy with uncontrolled spending. Folks, it's already happened. We may still be "the home of the brave", but this is no longer the "land of the free".

We have one last chance to turn things around. One last chance to take back our educational system, our government, and our country. This November. And keep in mind, it's not just the presidential race. Congress is every bit as important.

ABORTION : GOP NEEDS TO WAKE UP

The GOP establishment not only needs to wake up and get in touch with reality in the world, but they need to understand what the current political reality is. The polls still show Obama winning against any of the Republican candidates.

I am blessed to know quite a few outstanding young people. Some have a conservative outlook, some have much more liberal attitudes. But here is one firsthand fact : most of the females WILL NOT EVER vote for anyone who wants to take away their decision about abortion. And despite my personal opposition to abortion, I totally understand their position on this. Not only was this country founded on the principles of religious and personal freedom, God Himself gave us the freedom of choice.

Just as I do not believe it is the government's job to force religious schools and organizations to provide birth control, or force me to buy health insurance, or tell me I have to wear a motorcycle helmet, or a seatbelt, or that I can't build a home on property I already own and have building permits for, it is not their job to tell a woman she has to have a child she doesn't want. That does NOT mean the government should assist in abortion funding, as it does now through Planned Parenthood. That doesn't fly either.

Gun control does not stop crime, the "war on drugs" has not stopped illicit drug use, and outlawing abortion will not stop that either. It quite possibly would become much more hazardous to the health of the woman though.

So, GOP candidates, if you want to change that 48 to 50% of the vote going for Obama, you'd better start heavily advertising that you won't try and get Roe v Wade overturned.

THE BUDGET : PREPARE FOR RIOTS IN OUR STREETS

You have to wonder.....Is it Obama's deliberate plan to bankrupt America? So he can rebuild it into his, Bill Ayers, and George Soro's socialist utopia? He is not even shy about declaring that we need "a redistribution of wealth". Once again I remind you that there is not much PRACTICAL difference between socialism and communism. The government controls everything under both ideologies.

He proposes another 1 1/2 trillion dollar deficit, while gutting our defense capabilities and seizing more wealth from our richer citizens. Take it from those who have worked long, hard, and smart to give to those who have no work ethic because the government has provided for them all their lives.

No matter what happens in this next election, fixing our deficit problems, either by eventually defaulting on our debt or the drastic cuts necessary in give away programs to balance the budget, be prepared for massive riots right here in the cities of America.  You've probably heard about the riots in Greece, (they are burning Athens right now) but do you remember the riots in Spain and England when they tried to cut the freebies? Socialism has created an entire class, now nearing half the population, of people dependant on government for food, shelter, healthcare, and on and on. When financial reality finally catches up and there is no money left to provide those things, they burn, riot, and loot. Mark my words right now : it is going to happen here sooner or later. The difference is whether America will survive or not. No matter how small you make the slices, there is only so much pie. When it's gone it's gone.

IRAN PLANNING FOR ARMAGEDDON

Well, here's more. Ayatollah Khamenei, the real power in Iran, ( Yukminijihad is just a figurehead spouting what he's told) is now openly preaching that the Last Imam is now upon this earth, and it is Iran's job to FACILITATE his conquering the world by starting Armageddon. Speaking to hundreds of youths from 70 countries attending a conference in Tehran, Khamenei also said " In light of the divine promise by almighty Allah, the Zionists and Great Satan America will soon be defeated".

Iran has been working furiously to obtain the ability to manufacture nuclear weapons, and already possesses missiles capable of reaching every European capital, and is working hard on a missile capable of reaching the US with an EMP warhead. An electromagnetic pulse weapon exploded over the US would destroy almost every electronic device in existence. Including defense computers, the "brain" of every vehicle made in the last 15 or 20 years, all communications, etc. etc. What is there today that doesn't depend on  electronics? Not very much. No food production beyond what you could grow in a garden, no transportation, including of heating oil etc. Defense experts estimate that 1 year after such an event, 2/3 of the population of the U.S. would be dead.

Lest you dismiss this as more ranting from maniacs, I suggest researching the Biblical prophecies concerning Armageddon and the return of Christ.

GOD HELP US : OBAMA 45%, ROMNEY 45% IN LATEST POLLS

The real telling (and depressing) fact about the current election cycle is not that the true conservatives, the ones who understand America is on the verge of bankruptcy, have been left behind in favor of career politicians who change their stance depending on what they think people want to hear. No, the real indicator of just how close we are to ruin is when the pollsters ask "Obama or Romney, Obama or Gingrich, Obama or ?" Obama is still consistently garnering 45 to 46% of the votes. The closest anyone has come to beating Obama is Romney at 45/45%.

That means that almost half the voters in this country have been..... A: So brainwashed by our liberal educational system that they are incapable of rational thought. B: Already dependant on the government for their upkeep so that they'll vote for anyone who they think will maintain the status quo, i.e. their welfare, housing, medical care, free cell phones, etc. ad nauseum. C. So unaware and ill informed about anything other than the campaign ads they see while watching American Idol, Survivor, or some other moronic TV program that they'll vote for whoever's ad they saw last before they leave to vote.

Do these people think our current situation can continue forever? The government spending two to three times as much as it takes in every year? The truth is most of them don't have a clue about much of anything. And don't care. Unlike Congress, whose members certainly do know the real score, and still don't care if it's going to cost them reelection. I can't even think of words nasty enough to describe our current politicians, both Congress and the President and his "czars".

I ask you : What is the difference between high treason (let's say selling military secrets to foreign enemies) and what our politicians and bureaucrats have been doing for the last 20 years or so???? I swear they have already sold their very souls for wealth and power. We need to get 90% of them out of D.C. Mark my words, four more years of what we've had for the last 3 and America will NEVER recover. They will drive us into forfeiting on our debt. If you think times are tough now, just wait till that happens. Please remember the Congressional races are every bit as important as who the next President will be

OBAMA 'S JOB CZAR IMMELT MOVES MORE JOBS TO CHINA

Sitting down? Here's more of Obummer's plan to fix our economy. The man he chose to lead his program to "fix" our economy, General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt, (see "JEFFREY IMMELT : OBAMA'S JOBS CZAR" post on 10/22/11) has announced GE will be closing it's Xray division plant in Waukesha, Wi. and moving it to Beijing. In addition to moving the plant and the division headquarters, GE will invest $2 Billion in China, train more than 65 engineers, and create 6 research centers. This is on the heels of the news of GE's 2000 job plant expansion in Brazil.

Yes sir, Mr. Obama, you're "fixing" our economy all right. Let's see, gas $1.79 / gallon when you took office. (Remember, he said "we need to get the price of gas up to the level of Europe so people drive less, therefore creating less air pollution") Government debt doubled in 3 years. True unemployment rate around 15 to 17 %. True inflation rate near 10%. Billions in thinly disguised payoffs for your campaign contributors. Yes sir, four more years of your policies will "fix" us for sure. But that's your plan, isn't it? Destroy America, because you hate it.

I would like to remind you all that Congress is just as responsible for the mess we are in as the President. Therefore, the congressional races are just as important as who the next President is.

HERE WE GO AGAIN, NOTHING CHANGES

The race for the Republican nomination is becoming depressing. Romney takes Iowa and New Hampshire. Proving once again that the average voter today is unaware of anything about the candidates other than what they've seen on the TV advertisements. Proving again that he who garners the most campaign contributions, and therefore can afford the most ads, wins.

Illustrating once more the MAJOR problem with our political system as practiced today. You don't think those huge contributors - personal and corporate - don't expect anything in return for their millions, do you? It's why our tax code is so full of special loopholes, for one thing. Obama has made an art out of rewarding his backers with government (YOUR) money.

I am going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. If Romney is elected President, don't expect any fundamental change in this situation. In fact, unless Tea Party candidates win the House and Senate by a landslide, I predict we won't see much of a change at all. Oh, they'll make piddling cuts here and there, but definitely not the major spending cuts and policy changes it will take to save our country.

CHICAGO POLITICS IN WASHINGTON

Chicago politics, generally recognized as the most corrupt in the nation, are now standard operating procedure in D.C. The man who now occupies our White House is by far the most corrupt politician I can remember in my lifetime. Probably the most corrupt president in our entire history. His history of rewarding campaign contributors with shady deals is only now being discovered, one piece at a time. Solyndra was only the tip of the iceberg, and that one cost us taxpayers over 1/2 billion dollars.

Our current economic malaise was precipitated by several major factors. 1. The federal government, in the person of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, forcing lenders to meet minority lending targets, thereby forcing them to grant mortgages to millions of people who had no chance of making their payments. 2. The greed of shady bankers and stock brokerages "bundling" these "toxic" mortgages and selling them to unsuspecting investors. These were not back street brokerage houses, they were some of the largest, formerly respected, financial institutions in America. George Bush tried several times to shut down the power of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but was thwarted every time by the Democrats, who controlled both the House and Senate at that time.

Here's how Obama rewards the crooks who bear a large part of the responsibility for this mess:

Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting
activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation
for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

TRUE COST OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION : 338 BILLION PER YEAR!

Something else to thank the scumballs in D.C. for. There is only one reason they have allowed this to go on and on for years and years. They want the Hispanic vote. Once again they prove they care nothing for our nation, only their personal greed and power. Look at this list and ask yourself why in God's name would we be doing all this for people who aren't even supposed to be here, who broke our laws to get here? Who drive down YOUR paycheck. Oh yes, it's not just laborers and pickers any more. Check out the software companies for one.

$22 Billion per year for food stamps, WIC (Women in Crisis), and free school lunches.
$2.5 Billion for Medicaid for illegal aliens.
$12 Billion for primary and secondary school education.
$17 Billion for education of American born children of illegals.
$3 Billion per DAY for incarceration of illegals. 30% of ALL federal inmates are illegal aliens.
$90 Billion for welfare and social services.
$200 Billion in suppressed wages for Americans, because they work for next to nothing.
In 2006, the last year figures are available for, illegal aliens sent $45 billion back to their home countries.

The total estimated cost of illegals in this country is $338.3 billion per year! Beware of any Republican presidential candidate who is not in favor of fixing this huge drain on our treasury!
